First Ride: The Santa Cruz Vala is the Brand's First Horst Link Bike
This isn't just a "4 bar" system like a Marin though. It's a horst design, which functions quite differently than a normal 4 bar linkage found on more generic designs and is overall better. There's a reason it's still such a popular design despite being over 30 years old. It's not the only good system, but it's among the best (when done right).

SRAM Releases S-1000 Budget Transmission Drivetrain
Sram moved the cassette outward with Transmission, towards the frame. This allows them to mount 10t to HG. The point is that this gives them space to add another gear to Transmission in the future. 13 speed drivetrains are incoming. Do with that knowledge what you will.

$275 USDGreat condition Cane Creek DB Coil IL, used for about one season. I eventually decided my bike works better with an air shock and went back to that. Shock has had spacers removed increasing stroke to something closer to 56 or 57mm. They can be added back during a service if necessary. I also have a 400-488lb progressive VALT spring I can include for a reasonable amount if you need it. Note shock will not come with any hardware attached.
