Intense Tracer T275c carbon 25 lbs.

$3250 USD
Selling the fastest bike I’ve ever owned, only because I went 29er. I shopped and demo’d long and hard (Santa Cruz, Ibis, Yeti, Spesh, Trek) before settling on the Tracer. In its class only the Ibis HD3 came close, but the T was hands-down faster on downhill no matter what the terrain. Intense’s adaptation of the VPP linkage is more supple than DWL (which I love and have ridden since Ibis’ original Mojo), and the geo of the T is just tweaked better for speed, in keeping with Intense’s reputation and heritage. The T275 is, after all, the original “longer, lower, slacker” mountain bike. It pioneered the revolution. The bike has never been crashed! Haha. OK, I’ve taken a few spills but nothing EMT-worthy. The frame is near flawless (one little blem on the downtube), the wheels have a few nicks, cosmetic only. The bike scrubbed up real nice, it looks freakin’ new. I’ve upgraded everything from stock, including refurbing the 160mm RCT3 Pike and adding Debonair to the Rockshox Monarch RC3 shock. Travel can switch between 140mm and 160mm (I rode the latter). The shock and pivot bolts have been swapped out to ti. The brakes are enduro-ready Hope Tech 3 E4 four-piston stoppers, far better modulation than Shimano and even Guides, and adjustable for throw and reach. I call Hope brakes the ABS of mtb. Rotors are Hopes, front 180mm, rear 160mm. Cockpit: Thompson Elite X4 stem, Cane Creek headset and Easton Havoc 35mm bars (cut to 780mm). ODI grips. Selle Italia saddle. Rockshox Reverb Stealth 125mm dropper. Wheels are Light Bicycles 35mm carbons with matte 3k fabric outer finish, which is more damage tolerant as well as looking classically slicker. Spokes Sapim CX-Ray straight-pull, the strongest and lightest around. DT350 front hub, Roval/DT 142 rear hub with upgraded 36t ratchet. BTW this bike has loads of rear clearance, 2.5 tires no problem. The tires on it are new Schwalbe 2.25 Nobby Nics as I was going for a super light XC/AM build. Drivetrain is 1x11, SRAM X0 derailleur, shifter and cassette. Super-light Next SL cranks and BB. If you’re getting the impression I’m an OCD weight weenie, bingo! This build tips the scales at just under 24.7 pounds without pedals. Slapping on a set of 2.35 NNs, which a sane person probably would do, pops it up half a pound or so. You’re not gonna find this bike at this weight very often. The fact that it’s tough as nails just adds to the joy. This build would run $8,000-plus new. Your price: $3250. The bike has been inspected, tuned and will be packed professionally by Seattle LBS. My pref is an in-person pickup.

Did Tipps even see the race? Would be nice to know some basics, such as Jill's keys to victory...looks like she's off to a dynamite start for 2010!
