The Maxxis ESC Stan's Enduro series returned to Vermont's Northeast Kingdom after a four year hiatus and man was it good to be back! Burke Mountain is known for its raw and rowdy trails off the summit and the brutal toll road pedal to access them, but the juice is definitely worth the squeeze. Five varying stages combined with the climb tested riders' fitness, technical ability and mental strength, rewarding those who could power through. If you measured a venue's popularity by the amount of smiles riding around, Burke would be up there with the best of them. Stellar views, beautiful weather and some killer racing made this weekend one to remember.

Sunny skies and a dry forecast, we could get used to this after a few soakers this year.

The 2000' climb became a walk by most as steepness ramps up toward the summit. Pros and Expert classes would go off the top twice, while some Amateur and younger classes would only make the pedal once. The remaining three stages are all on the lower mountain.

photo
No doubt the brakes were feeling a bit spongy after practice, better freshen them up for race day.

8:30am riders meeting, gearing up for a big day on the pedals.

After a healthy climb to the summit, racers started their first timed run on the rugged and demanding Upper J Bar. Kyle Wolmer would win the stage and finish the day in second for the 30-39 Men, his best result of the season.

photo
Built in the 1930's by the Civilian Conservation Corps, the CCC Road provided easy spectator access between a few stages. Jean Sebastien Roy gets cheers from the many Canadians who made the trip South for the weekend.

photo
Charlie McLean lets the bike eat on J Bar, he would earn second place in the 21-29 men's class.

photo
Adrian Hayden follows the rocky path down Stage 1, he would round out the Pro men's class top five and continues his streak of podium results this season. Happy Birthday Adrian!

photo
Our Fox Seatpost Climbers Challenge was contested on a short climb between stages 2 and 3. Perrick Sarthou put down the watts and took home a new Fox Transfer dropper post.

photo
Kyle Hamel tackles the rock rollers of Stage 3, he would win this stage and finish third in the 30-39 men's class.

photo
Rude Awakening strikes again, sometimes the tire problem is bad enough you wrap the insert around your handlebars and figure it out in the parking lot.

photo
The green is lava. Phillip Roquebrune must be psyched with a 40-49 men's class win after a DNF at Sugarbush.

photo
Tight squeeze for Tina Dutra, P7 in her first race with the Pro Women.

Ripping through the ferns to finish out Stage 3.

photo
Austin Beard is no slouch on the pedals, with plenty of experience in the XC world. He would harness that power to earn fourth place, his first Pro Enduro podium result.

photo
Fifth place in the 30-39 men's class for Brennan Delphia this weekend, his second podium result of the season after coming back from a gnarly leg injury last year.

photo
Serefina Krajewska recently moved up to join the Pro Women and it didn't take her long to earn her first podium result, P4 with a stage win.

photo
Third place 40-49 men's class finisher Rob Westover lets it roll back into the woods tech.

photo
Elbows up and eyes ahead for Tucker Shearer. He would finish P6, just off the Pro Men's podium.

photo
Eli Quickel flows through the lush Vermont forest and into third place for the 20U boys.

photo
Bike park fun laps are in order for Owen Deale after finishing second in the 20U class with three stage wins.

photo
The GT 16U Boys class rolled deep this weekend with 46 racers, so our friends at Kate's Real Food rewarded the top three with some Kate's Cash. 4th - Oliver VanTuyl, 2nd - Lev Dransfield, 1st - Peter Shearer, 3rd - Nick Frazier, 5th - Ludovic LaLiberté

photo
Marie Vaine would keep it consistent to take P3, an impressive result for her first outing with the Pro women's class.

photo
It's great to see Corinne Prevot back between the tape for the first time in a while, she would finish second for the Pro Women.

photo
Mia Migliorino came out on top in a strong field of talented ladies, taking the win by nearly 40 seconds.

photo
Pro Women: 4th - Serefina Krajewska, 2nd - Corinne Prevot, 1st - Mia Migliorino, 3rd - Marie Vaine, 5th - Kelly Dube

photo
Eli Gadbois held it down for the young guns, rounding out the Pro men's class top three.

photo
Hometown hero Alex McAndrew proved he still has plenty left in the tank. He would earn second fastest dad of the day, just 6.2s off the W with a trio of stage wins.

photo
Kory Nagy is no stranger to steep, rugged terrain, so it's no surprise he found his way to the top step Sunday afternoon. He would win both stages off the top, earning his second Stan's Enduro win of the season with a total race time of 17:54.

Pro Men: 4th - Austin Beard, 2nd - Alex McAndrew, 1st - Kory Nagy, 3rd - Eli Gadbois, 5th - Adrian Hayden
