Nico Vink, one of the best Belgian riders, won his Wildcard for the Redbull rampage during the Châtel Mountain Style event in July. We followed him for 3 days in Châtel Bike Park riding big jumps and practicing for the event.
Yes, he should be riding Rose, but as I recall he liked the Trek a lot.. So maybe Rose's contract applies only for World Cups. Maybe he likes his old Trek more and uses it for the events where he's not bound to the Vaujany team.. By the way, as far as I know his english is as good as his french, so I have no idea why the interviews are in french and the subtitles in english in this movie. edit: maybe 'cause it was shot in france by a french team..
I thought the same, he is a very good rider but landing in Utah´s soft soil id different than landing at high speed in Cahtel, he will have to ajust that on body and bike. Good luck in Rampage!!
That isn't nearly as true as it used to be though, cause there are so many groomed line now. I remember the one time I went to watch in 2003, most of the drops they were hitting hadn't ever been hit, and they were landing in virgin powder. That seems like a rarity now, but it is still unique.
Could we compare whistler to chatel ? Witch one is the best ? I Could tell you whislter is amazing i was there for a week. I like to have the opinion of our european friends.
Edit: Watch it twice or skip reading
