Oh, and in response to the deficiencies of MoCo, Rush, and Charger 3 / 3.1, MRP has moved to address the "too progressive" aspect of some of the air springs with a taller cap, and the various damper issues with their Lift aftermarket damper. It's good to have competitors keeping Rockshox and Fox's feet a little warm.

@mammal: AAAnd here we are 5 years later-- Rockshox has introduced the Rush damper as a slightly higher quality alternative to MoCo. It's really quite nice aside from being toward the "open" end of the spectrum. It'd be nicer if it didn't routinely explode.
Last year they quietly turfed the Rush, and replaced it with something called the Delta damper. At this point no one seems to know what it's like, but it comes on base model forks.

Rockshox Lyrik 29" Boost RC 160
$435 CADTakeoff from a new (size large) bike-- brand new unused. Steerer 7.5" (191mm). Includes 2 tokens, maxle, and bolt-on fender. With Rush damper. For 29" wheels; 44mm offset.
Reviews suggest it's similar in performance to an Ultimate, minus a bit of adjustment. It has the adjustments most people need if they just want to ride, with minimal fiddling: Air pressure, rebound, compression, volume tokens.

1x12 drivetrain with 30km on it shifting well. Sintered pads, 2.6/2.5" tires with rear Cushcore.

Rockshox Superdeluxe Ultimate RC2T C1 210x55

Has about 4 hours on it-- I was testing a couple different shocks and this was my favourite, but then got a new bike that turned out to have an incompatible mounting.
