Solukhumbu region of Nepal. Around Pikey Peak area. Nepal is full of these trails. But not easy to find the best ones! Takes a lot of exploring.

Commencal Meta AM1

$1500 GBP
Commencal Meta AM1 - 2012 (size medium) for sale, Colour – Team Blue. Owned the bike from new, and it came direct from Commencal. The bike is in excellent condition (really is pretty much like new as only ridden it about 20 times and looked after very well) and as you can see from the photos only a few little marks. Bike has recently had brake service and new pads. It’s such a fun bike to ride, and will be missed. Any questions or if you'd like to view please send me a message or contact me on phone number above. I'm in Bristol. Could courier to buyer for around £45. Video: Nepal as a Kid
Check out the film we put out last week called 'Something Good' from the high mountains in Mustang, Nepal. http://www.pinkbike.com/video/347684/ Theres one lift already in Manakamana, but yeah gonna be great when Kathmandu valley gets that going on, or when Heli lifts get cheaper!

Well spotted! You're the first person who's noticed that, as far as I know! Nepali women go there and make an offering in the hope that it'll help them be fertile.

Just to set the record straight! I made the film, and understand what you're saying about the rich using the world as a playground. However I know that when we go into the mountains in Nepal (many many times now.) We are always warmly welcomed by the locals, they're fascinated, and entertained by us mountain biking there. They often want to have a go, they want to know where you're from and what you're up to, and are happy to see you, offer you advice on where might be good to ride etc. Also we stay in local villages, hire local porters, eat and shop in local places, so bringing much appreciated income to these places. Tourism is a great industry for Nepal - it is a natural playground for many many things. There's always positives and negatives to tourism, but often thats in the hands of the people who are traveling there - how they act, where they spend their money, and if they're conscious of the issues. The rider Tangi in the film is from France, but has been living there and riding for 12 years, building the sport, teaching locals (who go on to guide tourists and earn a good living) exploring new trails and there's a real scene in Nepal now. I believe Nepal is going to be the future of mountain biking! Check out who won the megakids avalanche comp last year in France - a young Nepali! Watch out western world! But seriously Nepal is a perfect destination for riding, the people are some of the most warm and friendly on the planet, they've got political problems, but haven't we all. My advice is get out there and ride if you can. It'll be good for everyone (apart from the plane trip on the environment that is!)
