Grand Enduro: Enduro Comes to the Desert

We originally planned this event for fall 2016, but didn't get enough interest to make it a reality. Last weekend was well above normal for temps, usually the average high for those dates is 82/83º. We'll continue to look for a better, earlier date, but moving it early comes at the risk of rain. Hot as it was on Sunday, it was better than trying to escape the Ribbon's bentonite clay after a downpour, trust us! This year, May had conflicting dates with (in order): Moab Enduro cup, Mother's Day, Grand Junction Off-road, and BME Santa Fe. Pre-Sea Otter is too risky weather-wise (we're sometimes not out of winter by then) and the last weekend in April is Fruita Fat Tire Festival, which has been rained out 3 of the last 4 years. Would y'all rather see a late fall event?

It's nothing personal! Juniors were the first category to go off and we only had two photographers to cover the whole race. Check out our Facebook page where we've uploaded almost 200 hundred photos! Plenty of juniors in there. Thanks for coming out! Hope to see you next year.
