When most people think of mountain biking in New England, they think of bad weather and rocky, technical trails. The Franklin Falls trails in New Hampshire are very “un-New England-like.” The tight, buffed-out singletrack trails ride fast and smooth and the sandy soil drains well, making Franklin Falls the go-to place to ride when it’s raining.
Mighty Chicken is the signature trail at Franklin Falls, winding through a ravine like a halfpipe, with the turns getting wider near the bottom as riders pick up speed. A huge thanks to the New England Mountain Bike Association (NEMBA) for building these awesome trails!
