We did actually model and try that during design, the amount of stiffness gained for the weight penalty just wasn't worth it.

@Ru-tang: These right now do not drastically change the reach of TRP. Our next release is planned to be actual reach adjusted levers for shorter reach across TRP, Magura, Shimano and SRAM.

You'll be more interested in our next set of levers to be released which is going to be designed for shorter reaches over what stock geometries offer. These are close to stock geometries with slight changes.

We're going to be at quite a few events in the Northeast this year, and hopefully at the Betonville Bike fest in June. I know it's hard to believe there is anything to be gained from levers, but we truly believe there is. We're going to be offering absolutely free demo's at these events, if you would like to try a pair come see us, we'll install them for you and let us know what you think after trying them.
