Morewood Makulu - BOS Suspension - Medium - Used Once!

$1395 GBP
2012 Morewood Makulu Full BOS Suspension TOP Spec Downhill Bike Medium size in stunning Trans Red finish RRP was over £5k This particular bike is as close to new as possible. Since I only ever used it for one weekend of uplift riding in Shropshire. Which likely equates to just 1 hour of actual riding time, by a steady rider. Never raced. The Morewood Makulu is a multi award winning design, which won the Dirt 100 DH bike of the year 2 years in a row! The beautiful South African frame was designed around, and therefore optimised for the exquisite French BOS suspension. The deep candy red colour is stunning in the flesh. With a translucent finish that shows off the welds and metalwork underneath. (See last photo for stunning effect in sunlight). The BOS Idylle forks alone were around £2k new, and in a totally different performance league than the Rockshox Boxxers and Fox 40's of the time. The frame uses the longest BOS shock available to provide a very low leverage ratio. This enables far lower spring rates than normal to be used. Which produces an unbelievably supple and sensitive feel on the trail. Will be supplied with spare BOS springs for both the fork and shock. This bike really is top spec througout! From the e*thirteen cranks, through to the silly light Fizik K:ium saddle. Another particular highlight is the Formula RO brakes which are incredibly powerful. This bike is of a higher spec than any UK BOS Makulu. I had it imported direct from the European Morewood importers in Germany (ceednow.com). Full Spec: Morewood Makulu Frame - Medium - 203mm Travel BOS Idylle Fork - 203mm Travel - 2 Springs (Firm and Medium) BOS Stoy Rear Shock - 2 Springs (250lbs + 225lbs) * Formula RO Brakes - Formula Discs (203mm Front, 180mm Rear) e*thirteen Cranks - 170mm e*thirteen Chainring - 38T Guide Ring e*thirteen LG1 Chainguide Spank Spike 28 Race Rims Atomlab Pimplite Hubs * Schwalbe Muddy Mary Tyres - 26x2.50 Trailstar Front, 26x2.35 Pacestar Rear Sram X7 Shifter Sram X9 Rear Derrailleur - Type 2 with Clutch - Short Cage Sram PC1051 Chain Sram PG1050 10 Speed Cassette - 11-26T Morewood Seatpost * Fizik Tundra2 K:ium Saddle Spank Stem - 50mm * Spank Spike 777 Evo Handlebar Specialized SIP Lock On Grips - Brand New Rear Mudguard * The brakes, tyres, saddle and handlebar have seen more use than the rest of the bike. As I used them on another bike. The grips are brand new. Everything else has only been used for one Pearce Cycles uplift weekend, which probably equates to around one hour of actual riding. Will also be supplied with: - A heavier set of expensive BOS springs for both the fork and shock. These, along with the other adjustments will allow the bike to be optimised for any rider between approximately 65kg and 100kg. - Setup and maintenance manuals for both the BOS shock and forks. - A brand new spare set of organic pads for the Formula RO brakes. Norco Atomik - Small

$650 GBP
2009 Norco Atomik Downhill Bike Size : Small Contemporary adjustable geometry : 63.5°/64.5° Head Angle, 200/225mm Rear Travel. Great spec : Fox/Boxxer/Avid/Sram/E13 etc With, A) Slack geometry that is still genuinely bang up to date and, B) Proven quality components that require no upgrading. This bike has the 2 most important things in any bike well and truly covered. Please see Bike Radars 5 star review, ‘Killer value, why spend more?: http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/category/bikes/mountain-bikes/product/review-norco-atomik-09-35050/ Full specification and geometry : https://www.norco.com/bike-archives/2009/atomik/ This one is totally standard spec, other than the grips which I changed over to colour matching Bontrager ones out of preference. It even still has the original Kenda Nevegal tyres fitted, to give an idea of how little use it has had. Used for a week in the Alps by myself when new and then for a week by my wife the following year. Taken on a few uplift days in the UK in between. Stored in a spare bedroom ever since. Both my wife and I are far from skilled riders so any riding has been slow, with both wheels kept firmly on the ground. Never raced. Comes with a few valuable extras: - Spare Firm Boxxer Fork Spring - Red (Soft Yellow one fitted) - Spare FoxShox Spring - 450x3.25 (350x3.25 fitted) - Spare rear derraileur hanger - unused - Black touch up paint for frame - unused - Spare set of high performance Kevlar brake pads - unused - Paperwork, component manuals etc. The spare springs allow it to be perfectly set up for anybody within the weight range of around 55 - 95Kgs. It has been meticulously cleaned and maintained after every use. Always using the correct greases and torque settings. Being a downhill bike though it has inevitably picked up the odd minor mark through it's intended use. However, it has no cracks or dents whatsoever and crucially the stanchions on the forks are completely unmarked. The Avid brakes are brand new as I used Shimano ones to keep them consistent across all of my bikes. The only minor faults to note are: - The Boxxer fork rebound knob is missing - These are notorious for dropping out due to a poor design. They are available cheaply for replacement but I never bothered as the rebound can still be adjusted with an allen key. - The Boxxer fork axle tensioner rounded off. - Again this part can easily be replaced but I never bothered as the axle can still be installed securely and removed with an allen key. - The fork bumpstops are now held on with cable ties but still function perfectly. - The front hub is a little noisy. Bearings could probably do with a regrease soon but the wheel is still spinning true. - One of the saddle rails is slightly bent. Still perfectly usable and being a downhill bike this has not been an issue at all. Any questions, just get in touch. Interested parties are welcome to inspect and test ride it I am less than an hour North of London, 10 miles South of Cambridge. Cash on collection preferred due to the size and weight. However I do have a suitable box. So Insured shipping can be provided at cost.

Marin Quake AL7 - Small

$895 GBP
Marin Quake AL7 Size 15.5" Small 2006 RRP was over £3k With 160mm front and rear travel this is a very versatile bike. Able to tackle anything from Enduro to full on Downhill tracks. Very high spec model, particularly the suspension. With a Fox DHX Air 5.0 shock and Fox 36 RC2 TALAS forks. These 2 top of the line Fox components came in at over £1500 new alone. They offer amazing performance. I have been lucky enough to own many high end forks, across various bikes. Even some BOS Idylle DH forks that cost £2k. These Fox 36 RC2 remain my absolute favourite. They're incredible. This bike has picked up some marks and rubbing to the anodised finish of the frame. Due to being used for it's intended purpose. It has no dents or cracks at all and has never been raced. It has always been maintained carefully, using the correct greases and torque settings. As such it is running great. It has just had a full strip down and rebuild ready for sale. It has been stored for the majority of it's life and so has not seen a massive amount of use overall. As an indication of this, it is still on it's original WTB tyres which have plenty of life left in them. The only items I have changed from the original spec are: Replaced the front shifter with a newer SRAM X7. Upgraded the saddle to an expensive Prologo Nago Evo X10. Comes with some paperwork and manuals. Any questions, just get in touch. Interested parties are welcome to inspect and test ride it I am less than an hour North of London, 10 miles South of Cambridge. Cash on collection preferred due to the size and weight. However I do have a suitable box. So Insured shipping can be provided at cost.

Marin Quake 7.3 - Custom High End Build - New

$1500 GBP
Marin Quake 7.3 High End Custom Build Brand New RRP ~ £5k Size 17.5" - Medium 2007 Suspension - 160mm Rear / 180mm Totem Forks with 40mm Stanchions! This bike cost around £4k when new due to being the top of the range Quad XLT model. The chap that bought it was an absolute perfectionist though, as he then spent another £1k upgrading everything he possibly could on it. From the Full Shimano Saint Drivetrain right down to the KMC Ti chain and Hope Quick Release clamps. He even upgraded the shifter cables to braided ones! The bike was then kept as a display piece and has never been used. Unique opportunity as it has never been ridden. So offered now Brand New and absolutely dripping in high end parts. Spec (Original): Marin Quake 7.3 - Medium Rockshox Totem Solo Air Forks Fox DHX Air 5.0 Shock Hope Pro II Hubs Mavic 325 Rims Truvativ Husselfelt Comp Handlebars Chain Device Spec (Upgrades): Shimano Saint Drivetrain (Shifters, Rear Derailleur, Cranks + Integrated Bash Guard) Shimano XT Front Derailleur SRAM PG-990 Casette KMC X9 SL Ti + Gold Chain Formula C1 Brakes Formula 200mm Front Disc (Lighter) Clarks 200mm Rear Disc (Stronger) On One El Guapo 50mm Stem Lightweight Silicon Foam Grips Selcof Zeta Seatpost WTB Volt 135 Saddle Hope QR Seatpost Clamp Jagwire Braided Cables Trailstar (Grippy) Schwalbe Wicked Will 2.35 Front Tyre Pacestar (Fast) Schwalbe Wicked Will 2.35 Rear Tyre Both in Freeride Triple Compound with a Snakeskin Folding Carcass As you can see from the above this build has had far more money, time and thought poured into it than any off the shelf top line bike. From choosing the beautifully machined in red alloy SRAM cassette and lightweight KMC chain to go with the Saint drivetrain. Regardless of cost, due to them being both superior. To the choice of slightly different tyres and even brake discs front to rear to optimise each one to it's task. This really is a unique and stunning bike. Comes with: Manuals Spare KMC Chain Links Frame Protector Sticker ImmobiTag Electrical Transponder Having never been ridden the bike is new. However it has picked up a couple of minor nicks in the black anodised finish of the frame on the top of the swing arm. These are shown close up in the last photo and are the only marks on the bike. Any questions, just get in touch. Interested parties are welcome to inspect it. I am less than an hour North of London, 10 miles South of Cambridge. Cash on collection preferred due to the size and weight. However I do have a suitable box. So Insured shipping can be provided at cost.

YT Wicked 650b - Brand New - Large - Raw

$1600 GBP
YT Wicked 650b Large Stunning Raw Metal Finish 2013 Brand New The aluminium frame has 158mm of travel and is hung with a SRAM X9 drivetrain, top of the range RockShox Pike RCT3 160mm fork and Monarch RT3 shock, Elixir 5 brakes, Stealth Reverb dropper post and DT Swiss E1900 wheels. This bike was the short lived metal forerunner to the highly decorated carbon Capra. It shares almost identical geometry and travel figures with the Capra enduro bike. Which went on to unanimous 5 star reviews and picked up pretty much every award available on it's launch, and for years to follow. So in a way this is the blueprint for the bike that catapulted YT Industries into the major league of bike brands due to it's incredible performance, spec and value. This raw metal finish, which I far prefer to any of the current YT garish colour schemes, really shows off the stunning precision German engineering. From the flawless welds, to the beautiful and helpfully labelled pivot bolts. All finished off with some off the best thought out cable routing I have come across. Maybe it's just me but these small details really impress in the flesh. Brand new. Never ridden. Has been carefully stored away in a spare bedroom. Had it's first trip ever outside today when I rolled it all of 1 metre outside the front door to take the photos above. I swapped out the original riser bar and smooth grips for a brand new Specialized handlebar (750mm wide with slightly lower rise) and some grippier lock on grips, out of personal preference. Other than this the bike is completely stock. Supplied in the unmarked condition that it left the factory. With all originally supplied manuals and set up guides. Bike will also come with a spare rear derailleur hanger that I ordered, at additional cost from YT, when I ordered the bike. Any questions, just get in touch. Interested parties are welcome to inspect it. I am less than an hour North of London, 10 miles South of Cambridge. Cash on collection preferred due to the size and weight. However I do have a suitable box. So Insured shipping can be provided at cost.
