Bike Show Walkabout With RC - Interbike 2015
I look at it from the view of trail impact, both interactions between trail users and the physical impact on the trail itself. From what I know, an e mountain bike has about the same physical trail impact as a normal mountain bike and far less than a group of horses. For the human interaction part, arent trail users of all kind taught to be courteous of one another and the trail? You have assholes roosting out berms and sailing dangerously past others on normal mountain bikes. I understand the things have motors, but its not like an ATV or dirt bike creating giant ruts and burning out while going 40+ mph.

Bike Show Walkabout With RC - Interbike 2015
The whole debate over allowing ebikes on trails is garbage. Not saying that I will ever buy an e mountain bike (maybe when I physically can't ride anymore) but as long as they are respectful on the trails who gives a damn. It's the same thing as equestrian riders not wanting mountain bikes on the trails...there is not one ounce of validity to their views and it all boils down to we don't want to share the trails because your different. I love you RC, but don't try to use this site as your pulpit for a personal "political" opinion.
