@Ian713:
Ian, this doesn't read very Canadian, regardless but I'll assume you haven't had some of the same privileges as your peers. If you get a chance to attend Outdoor Retailer or another apparel trade show you can see / learn about the complex world that is fabric science. A workshop certainly wouldn't hurt.
I'm sorry you don't like the way they look, that's very subjective obviously, and we hope we can come out with more cuts, styles, washes and fabrics in the future.
Cut-offs aren't the same (don't create the same result) as the weight and fabric used for pants isn't ideal for shorts. Godspeed!

@n734535: Wow that was a very logical and honest comment. There are a lot of people with actual degrees / PHD's in "fabric science" and you can imagine the lines are very much blurred today. I can say that entering the market in apparel is very challenging as huge conglomerates that produce millions of units offer the 40-60$ denim price point that so many people are referencing here. That's missing the point, in regards to the type of institutions we should support, it demonstrates why fast fashion has taken over and China and mass conglomerates run our product landscape (many customers care about price over all else). It's a good think Nike or Lulu didn't try to penetrate the cycling market right? Our product really works for all sorts of active lifestyles, sleepwear, swim trunks, literally everything. We are Dylan going electric, and the Pinkbike comments might be the last place to see the beauty in what we're creating. Denim isn't for hispters, we don't really have hipsters in Western Colorado. I think people throw the hipster word around when they feel uncomfortable or when they're unsure of something. I realize there's a lot of marketing spin these days, and also realize that markets are weighing machines in the long run. -EWR
