Mar 8, 2016Whyte-T129s-Large *price drop £950*
$950 GBPMy Whyte T129s (large) 2014 trail bike.
a much loved Bike, that I am selling to get an enduro rig.
I know everyone says it. But this really is in good condition.
A few paint scratches, of which the worst 2 are pictured, on the frame and
Not having a cycle computer I will give rough estimates as to the use it has had.
Average use: (summer) 3-5 hours a week
(Winter) 1 maximum, often 1-2 hours per 2 weeks.
it has visited a bike park twice now and rarely went of blue trails.
the bike is cleaned after almost every ride (winter) subsequently I have not had to replace the cassette or chainrings yet.
-rear deraileur hangar
-Recent replacements: ODI ruffian (red) grips
-upgraded to maxle ultimate on the front and replaced the rear one as well, the old versions were poorly designed and gave me grief.
-chain is replaced regularly
-along with brake pads.
-Maxxis ardent on rear only.
*note*tubless compatible however I am currently running tubes.
Everything is working great!
Reverb post is still buttery and the suspension has been serviced in the last 3 months by Cycleworks, Haslemere.
I will ship the bike well cleaned and as seen in the photos.
Pedals are specialized bennies, brought at the same time as the bike, and still run perfectly. You don't have to have the pedals and I will take £30 off, if not wanted.
I predict that at the current rate the next maintenance required will be possibly a new cassette in 8+ months? And maybe a new front tyre, in 6, depending on how fussy you are.
NOTE! on the weekend (10th of April) I was riding on my local trails and rode into 2 strands of barbed wire, placed across the path by a farmer that day (grrrrrr: very annoyed). The front of the bike has a new scratch on it now, near to the headset. And it has caused the price to drop. Please email for the pictures. I will make sure to notify you if you fail to ask for the pictures and want to buy.
I have not investigated postage for the bike yet. But if you would like me to I will of course send it, buyer pays postage, and I cannot take responsibility for breakage in transport.
contact me on my number if you are interested.
