Apr 7, 2017Genesis Volare 931 (Stainless Steel) 56cm
$1100 GBPThis is a top end race bike. The Volare range is aimed at both racers and club riders and this one is built of Reynolds 931 (aka stainless steel). This means the frame should never rust meaning it can be used all year round! And as it's made of steel, you don't have the same worries you get with carbon frames, they are super strong - google it to find out more. Frames in Reynolds 931 are highly desirable and these frames alone retailed for £1600. Comes with carbon forks for a super smooth ride, 105 groupset and hand built wheels.
I purchased this from a bike shop as an ex-demo 18 months ago on the back of a good summer of cycling. The intention was to use this all year round as it's light, quick, a lovely ride (that'll be the steel!) and resilient to the elements, for club rides and the odd sportive. Unfortunately this has never happened and with the exception of the odd morning out (and I do mean odd), it's sat in the shed gathering dust. Therefore it's time for it to get the use it deserves.
Light attachments, pump, speed & cadence sensors and pedals not included in sale. Collection only, bike located in Hallow, Worcestershire

Jun 30, 2015GENESIS Croix De Fer 931 (stainless) 54cm - only done 242ms
$1400 GBPFor sale is my beloved Genesis Croix De Fer 931. This is built using beautiful Reynolds stainless steel and looks and rides beautifully. This was purchased in November 2014 from Stonehenge cycles with the intention of being my one bike that does it all (cyclocross, touring and road) but I went for a size down which would be perfect for cyclocross (although I never actually got round to it - I think the idea is better than the reality!) but ultimately is proving too small for the road, hence why it has had little use (strava tells me just 242 miles although this may go up prior to sale). So deciding to cut my losses and sell it on so somebody else can enjoy it and I can get one that fits! It's in gears condition because it's barely been used and I heli-taped a lot of the frame. 105 groupset and Hayes CX expert brakes
The croix de fer is incredibly well rated and that's what drew me to the bike in the first place and then when it became available in stainless I was hooked - both the look and the ride quality is awesome, a real head turner. The welds are stunning, so precise and tight. It has disc brakes and lugs for guards and racks so really is one bike for all seasons and purposes. The bike shall be sold with the original tyres (conti cyclocross speed which still have the nobbles on) and saddle (madison prime that is unused) but shall be sold without the bottle cages, pump, lights and saddlebag.
Don't confuse this with the 2015 model which does not use Reynolds steel and uses a push fit bottom bracket.(Cost saving exercise by Genesis I believe).
Any questions then just give me a shout.
£1500 - no offers and no trades thank you.

Genesis Croix de Fer 931 2014 Cyclocross Bike. Put quite simply, a posh Croix! The tried-and-tested geometry and tube profiles of their firm favourite constructed from Reynolds’ 931 stainless steel tubeset. Thanks to the new wave of ‘super steels’, steel has never been stronger, lighter and more durable than it is today; perfect for building bikes with. Banish those old-school misconceptions of steel as an old school, heavy, flexy material; this is a new era of high-end steel tubing, producing vastly different bikes from those of yesteryear – stronger and therefore lighter, stiffer thanks to oversize offerings, and, in the case of 931, corrosion-resistant. To think what frame could’ve done in the 80’s with this stuff! Thanks to the increased tensile strength of 931 we’re able to draw the tubes a little thinner than usual, helping to drop a little weight and increase the overall liveliness and comfort of the ride (without compromising integrity). 931’s real party trick is its 17% Chromium/4% Nickel content which designates it a stainless steel; resulting in brilliant corrosion resistance to the elements – a true all-seasons bike for year-round use with durability to last a lifetime.
Reynolds 931: Similar in tensile strength to Reynolds 853, 931’s party piece is its 17% Chromium/4% Nickel content which designates it a stainless steel; resulting in brilliant corrosion resistance to the elements alongside a competitive strength-to-weight ratio – a true all-seasons bike for year-round use with durability to last a lifetime! Rack & Mudguard Ready: Generous clearances and eyelets for full-length mudguards and front and rear racks mean the Croix de Fer morphs quickly and effortlessly into an all-weather load carrier. Tour and expedition ready! Hayes CX Expert: The mechanical disc brake formerly known as the CX5 has been getting rave reviews from riders and press alike – and for good reason! The CX Expert brakes give a nice a nice positive braking feel thanks to the stiff, forged one-piece caliper and handily include an integrated barrel adjuster for cable adjustments. Semi-Slick Tyres: Faster rolling, semi-slick, Conti Cyclocross Speed 35c tyres have been added for a better performance on a wider variety of surfaces.

Aug 23, 2014Giant TCR SL2, Shimano 105, size med/large
$700 GBPI am selling my much loved 2013 Giant TCR SL2. Brought new last September and only ridden in the dry.Well maintained and cleaned after every ride. As a used bike it does have some marks and cable rub on the frame and I have tried to show these in the photos. A really nice bike that is light and comfy (carbon forks and seat post means it's super comfortable) - a joy to ride. I am only selling as I am looking to go titanium. Has been a great bike and will be sorry to see her go. Viewings welcome. I have included the tech spec below along with some reviews from bike magazines. Email me for more photos as can't attach them here for some reason?
Accessories (pump, lights, saddle bag, sensors etc) not included in sale. Size medium/large
