NEW CANADIAN WAREHOUSE

This warehouse in North Vancouver is part of Kali's two-prong strategy for penetrating Canada, and will be stocked with Kali's top selling products, allowing retailers to get the most popular products into the hands of eager Canadian consumers. Second, Kali will work with a Canadian 3PL firm to offer 'zone hopping' shipments, allowing multiple shops to pool orders that are less time sensitive into large shipments that will be delivered in bulk and then distributed in their region.

Moving to a direct-to-retailer model for Canada, this warehouse will allow Kali to reduce lead times, and customs and shipping fees for Canadian retailers.

The Canadian warehouse is planned to be operational and issuing shipments as of this October.

CANADIAN REPS
Ontario & Quebec

To leverage the new BC warehouse and better serve the Canadian market, Kali has brought on two new outside sales reps for the Ontario and Quebec provinces.

Having recently established PSI Marketing in Toronto, Eric O'Brien will service the province of Ontario on behalf of Kali. Eric hails from North Vancouver, high up on the hill, where he cut his teeth (and many other parts) riding The Shore. He made his debut in the bicycle industry in 1990 as a sales rep for a major distributor, allowing him to work and ride his bikes in amazing places all over the world. It is a dream job he has thankfully taken hold of and has never looked back.

Fred Poulin will represent Kali in Quebec. With a long history of racing motorcross, downhill, and working closely with Shimano Canada, Fred is no stranger to the bicycle industry. For many years, his 'day job' was an accountant, however, in 2014, he realized his true passion was cycling, and he quit crunching numbers and started repping for cycling brands he believed in, such as Kali.

Kali is excited to welcome Eric and Fred to the team and looks forward to growing the brand with them in Canada. They can be reached at the following email addresses:
- Eric O'Brien - ericob@rogers.com
- Fred Poulin - fredpoulin224@videotron.ca

Not quite sure how I feel seeing our national flag with an American brand's name plastered in the middle of it. I don't think I feel good about it though.

Lets overlook their (lack of) creative department's shameless attempt to adopt our flag in an effort to make $$$. ... SOOOOOOOO should I be pouring maple syrup on the curb and buying their fugly helmets because they are smart enough to rent a spot in north van?

KALI NEEDS CANADIAN CREATIVE.

@snl1200 coming from someone who has worn and crashed in Kali's helmets, including one that spilt it right down the center, I can be very proud of having them in that flag. While I love my Rampage carbon, I'll be honest, it is still heavier than my Kali full face, cost twice as much, and isn't offering any additional protection. It was just the only thing available at the time.

I feel like Kali really fly under the radar, and if you give them a chance, you'll happily have them fly out flag too.

My comment was not a comment about the quality, value or importance of Kali's helmets. Rather, the comment was about the use (defacement) of our national symbol. Perhaps a bit sensitive or perhaps it's antiquated patriotism... just wanted to comment that it didn't sit well. Others are free to disagree with that.

@snl1200: just remember patriotism was one of the first propaganda tools used by the kingdoms to send young people to war and kill each other for land and commodities....and is still used today in the same manner.....just saying!!!

Hey Kali - Time to get your reps some dedicated email addresses. Rogers.com? Really?
  • 3 0
@terrafire lots of reps carry multiple brands (independent contractors ) so it makes sense that they use those email addresses.

@jonnymanbikes: I understand that, however, most reps that I've dealt with still have a professional email account and a domain name. It's ~$10 for a domain name and ~$12/year from google to have it integrate your private domain name operate within Gmail.

@Terrafire: I am an independent multi line rep and most of use use rogers or shaw or telus email addresses. Some of the bigger agencies have there own domain but very few use the domain of a brand we are selling. And most brands do not want us to either, because at the end of the day we are not employees of that company.
