First Ride: Fox Releases New Grip X & Grip X2 Dampers
Really disliking this borrowed marketing technique of "limited run" custom color-way products to build the "luxury goods" hype. SRAM did it with the red mavens and I then saw a lot for sale after launch at well over list from people not interested in the product but just wanting to rip others off. Either make the colour or don't but stop it with this limited run luxury goods marketing boll*x as it just feeds rip off merchants. These are forks not handbags.

[Updated with Company Statement] Orange Bikes Intends to Appoint Administrator
Of course geo politics, covid, Brexit, Ukraine, global inflation all had their impact, but Orange was a sick business 8 years ago. All of Oranges accounts are online and show an unhealthy ratio of stocks, debtors, cash and creditors for a significant amount of time. Predating covid, Brexit, Ukraine, global inflation etc. Even in 2016 it wasn’t in good health. Their liquidity has been terrible for years. Outside of facts here is some opinion. I’ve seen less and less riders on Orange's for the last 10 years so really wasn’t surprised at this news. A sick company can stop innovating and is slow to react to trends as it’s just trying to keep afloat. Being slow to release an ebike etc was most likely a result of just not having enough room on the balance sheet to take any risk. Deffo a shame to see an old school brand go. So feel free to shake your fist at the sky and shout "Brexit" but do some research and you will see the world is a more complicated place than just that.

9 Things I Loved in 2023: Jessie-May Morgan
I always like to do stuff as economically as I can and used cheap hooks for years. Always ok but a never ideal as I share my garage with all the family stuff. Bought the Stashed stuff and wish I’d done it sooner. I can fit more bikes in the same space and they are easier and quicker to get out. So well designed. I looked into the more basic track systems and maybe I could have gotten 6 hooks for the price of 4 and a 30cm longer track for the same price but the inability to rotate the bikes, lack of locking on the hooks, no built in guide spacers, greater hook drop and the fact ive had to re sheath all the cheap hooks ive ever owned didn’t work for me. Also the Stashed stuff is lot cheaper in the UK as they are made here… but I still think I’d have gone for it at the $ price tbh. Ill be using it for the next 20+ years so its a minimal investment. As with lots of things, you can have something assembled from off the shelf bits to do most of the job, or pay a bit extra for something thoughtfully designed exactly for the job. Buyers choice. Normally I do the former, in this case im glad I spent my money on the latter.

Wolf Tooth Announces ReMote 360 Dropper Lever
@budgie-1: For real! I had one of those remotes 20y ago. Maverick was Paul Turner. The inventor of the RockShox1 and OG of suspension. Would almost have been cooler if they had shouted out the heritage of the design.

Rampage Judge Darren Berrecloth Speaks Out On 2023 Event
Exactly! I think that sums up this entire thread in one sentence Deaks! Congrats on an epic build. Hope you Olly and Bren are taking solace in all the public support for you fellas. Not the same as some podium cash but the kudus might be worth more in the long run!

Troy Lee Sprint MTB Shorts S/XS

$20 GBP
TLS Sprint shorts. Bought for me as a present they have sat in my drawer for ages. Too small at the time. I think with the latest versions they have changed thier sizing but with thise ones they were supposed to be a 32 inch waist (Med) which I can normally get into but these are more like a 28 - 30inch ( S or XS) waist. Super durable and vent well. Not worn and still with labels Price includes postage so going cheap

New Uphill e-Mtb World Record Set in Davos Klosters
I think this is just weirdly presented - 47976 feet of DH riding without truck or ski uplift is pretty impressive As anyone who rides ebikes know your still getting fatigued and burning energy on the way up (core, hands, arms, back etc) and then on the way down you have a heavy bike to haul about. I think the most DH ive done in a day is in Finale and it was 18k feet. I was cooked and got to rest in a van on the way up!
