It's been over 6 months after I rebuilt the X2 that came on my Scout, and it's still going strong (knock on wood). I assume all mods must have worked. One of which was replacing hard plastic spacers on the bottom shock mount bushing with urethane O-rings to allow the shock to move around laterally (an attempt to reduce stress put on the shock by trunnion mount). This worked well for a while but it eventually developed mildly annoying occasional rattling noise, so I'm trying some polyurethane bushings. The middle bushing is made from a 95A rod. There's not as much meat as I would like, but I've seen pretty thin 95A bushings take some serious abuse on automotive suspension parts so hopefully it will work. The side washers are cut from a 80A rod, The sleeves are 5/16" stainless weld-nuts from McMaster, with the threads drilled out and ends ground to get the correct overall width. Since I don't have a lathe, everything was made with a hand drill and a belt sander, using various screws and studs as arbors,
