Video: Meta Power 29 vs 160E vs Range VLT vs Kenevo SL - Field Test Roundtable
Agreed. Wake me up when Honda licenses their internal gearboxes and the motor builders find a way to get both into the cradle at the same time.

Opinion: The Case For Being 'Over-Biked'
This assumes the climb and descend riding. I think the bigger issue is that bikes are becoming "long, low, and slack" which on old school technical singletrack that actually follows contours, riding the bikes with "modern geometry" is like trying to push a wheelbarrow full of wet cement. The new "downcountry" bikes are less about suspension travel and more about maintaining some level of geometry that makes them fun to ride on actual trails vs. straight up and straight down, overbuilt, over benched, over-groomed "chunk."

Opinion: The Case For Being 'Over-Biked'
When I'm over-biked or under-biked I'm either accepting of the challenge or pissed off and irritated. IMO riders who are over-biked (or under-biked) are either: 1. Pissed off and irritated 2. Accepting of the challenge or 3. Clueless.

Field Test: 2022 GT Force Carbon - Longer, Lower, Idler
I think PB should include a section in all these tests as to whether or not the bike is literally going to be sitting on dealer floors within a certain timeframe, at least until the affects of the pandemic ease off the supply chain. Seems like all this stuff is vapor. I walk into the four bike shops in my immediate area and they look like 80s Soviet Russian grocery stores. Maybe another assignment would be for PB to survey shops and build of lists of models most likely to be in shops for the first half of 2022.

First Ride: SCOR 4060 - One Frame, Two Travel Options
@shredddr: I wonder how many of these frame builders get their bigger contracts locked with the large players and then sign up all these smaller players because the cost of entry is higher, which means a higher fee for doing prototypes, proofing, etc. they can commit to an initial short run of frames and then use the pandemic to say "ah sorry sirs, we can't fulfill, pandemic." How does any frame builder commit to new orders from new companies right now instead of focusing on fulfilling existing orders from say Trek, Specialized, etc?

First Ride: SCOR 4060 - One Frame, Two Travel Options
Sometimes I wonder if the MTB world would be better off with just ten big bike makers competing with each other for marketshare and more importantly carbon/alu. frame manufacturing capacity and OEM part deals from the component companies. Then we could actually buy the bikes we read about in these reviews.
