PIVOT MACH 429 CARBON 29er MTB FRAME, SIZE LARGE. GREEN

$1250 GBP
I got this Pivot Mach 429 Carbon in November 2013 as a complete bike, but never got on with the whole 29er thing (I still have a 26”). Consequently this bike’s been sitting in my shed unused. I think I rode it 5 times in total. It’s the “Green” colour in Large. “Green” is a bit of an under-statement - it’s definitely a love/hate colour – I loved it and the look of the bike definitely helped my (in retrospect rash) decision to buy the bike. !! The bike was £5,000 in “XT/XTR Pro” build. The frame has the top of the range Fox Float 100mm CTD Kashima-coated Boost-valve Factory series shock. The suspension is via a “dw Link” system. The fork which came with the bike was a similar Fox 120mm, but it is designed to take either 120mm or a more racy 100mm fork. The Headtube takes a tapered steerer fork (1.25” -> 1.5”), although a non-tapered one will fir with an adapter. The Bottom Bracket is a standard Press-fit BB92 type. Cabling is Internally routed. There are external guides for a dropper post if desired. The rear axle is a 142mm x 12mm thru-axle – the new standard. ISCG 05 tabs are provided for fitting a chain retention device if desired. The frame has it’s own rubberized leather frame protectors under the downtube and on the chainside swingarm. The frame’s RRP at the time was £2249 (now it’s £2500). All sizing details and geometry and indeed any other info about the bike can be found at www.pivotcycles.co.uk (some fabulous pictures of the Green frame), but this one’s a Large. I am 5’10” and it fitted me fine, although I would say anyone under 5’10” would probably need the Medium. Condition of the bike is Excellent, as you would expect. Although it has had such little usage, I’m not trying to sell this as a “New” bike. I did swathe the frame in Copter tape as I do all my bikes, but I did have one “off” on a ride, which somehow scuffed the frame behind the rear brake mount, and I have touched this up with touch-up paint. I’ve taken a picture of this, as best I can. There are a few other TINY scuffs and marks, but apart from the aforementioned touch up, it’s as you would expect a bike to be, which has been ridden 5 times. If in doubt PLEASE come and inspect the frame (near Basingstoke, Hants). I’m sure the bike is fabulous – it certainly has had rave reviews in the MTB press worldwide, eg Bikeradar: http://www.bikeradar.com/mtb/gear/category/bikes/mountain-bikes/product/review-pivot-mach-429-carbon-xt-pro-46701/ This is what Pivot says about it: A perfect blend of super-stiff carbon fibre construction, efficient dw-Link Suspension and a 29" Wheel platform to produce one of the stiffest full suspension trail bikes on the market. Gloss green colourway. Pivot Cycles has upped the ante once again by taking the proven performance of the Mach 429 and adding carbon. All new geometry, a revised dw-link® suspension design and the same Pivot hollow box internal molding technology developed on the Carbon Mach 5.7 has allowed us to achieve a new level of frame strength and stiffness with superior ride performance in a lightweight 29er package. The Mach 429 Carbon delivers a perfect balance by taking all of the riding efficiencies of the 29er and delivering the handling characteristics of a 26”. It will make short work of any climb, descents a breeze and all with the comfort and proficiency of full suspension so you can ride at your best all day! Two years were dedicated to the testing and design of the 429 Carbon, the result is a bicycle with uncompromising performance, and that’s simply fun to ride! Once again Pivot is “PERFORMANCE REDEFINED” with the Mach 429 Carbon. • Pivot exclusive hollow box, high-compression internal molding technology allows for greater compaction and smoother internal walls resulting in a lighter, stronger, highly optimized frame design with the best stiffness to weight ratio in the class. • New geometry and a revised dw-link® suspension design with position-sensitive anti-squat makes for a 29er that pedals, accelerates and handles like a 26” wheel bike. • New Pivot specific, custom tuned Fox CTD shock technology: Increased performance and adjustment range allows riders to quickly and easily adjust for changing course or ride conditions. • 100mm rear travel with 100-125mm travel fork compatibility. • 142mm rear spacing with 12mm through axle and 160mm post mount dropouts for maximum frame stiffness. • New under top tube internal shift cable routing with clean brake and dropper seat post routing. • Rubberized leather chainstay, inner seat stay, and down tube protectors for a quiet ride and higher impact resistance. • Tapered 1.5” headtube, PF92 bottom bracket, and direct mount front derailleur. • New ISCG 05 (chainguide) mounts included on frame. I’m leaving on the Shimano XT Front Mech, Also included is the complete Headset, Seatpost clamp, unused WTB Volt saddle (Pivot branded – see pic), Fox 2013shock guide, and original Jag-wire cable outers. Also the original receipt for the LBS for warranty purposes. There is no Pivot paperwork – the Owners Manuals and technical/warrantly details are all on the Pivot website RRP is £2500. AMERICAN CLASSIC MTB RACE 29er TUBELESS WHEELSET

$350 GBP
I’ve had this wheelset for just over a year, but haven’t really got on with the whole 29er thing, and am now selling my 29er bike due to lack of use (I almost always use my 26”). They’ve been ridden on-road a bit with road tyres on in summer 2013, and have been ridden off-road 5 times this year with Maxxis Advantage XC UST tyres on (included with the wheelset). The wheels are in remarkable condition, due to the lack of off-road action. They are true, and the hub action is perfect. The wheels are set up as 15mm thru-axle at the front, and the new 142mm thru-axle at the rear, but they can easily (5 min job) be converted to 9mm QR at either or both ends with the adapters that I am also including (but not pictured). 9mm QRs are however NOT included. I installed the tyres “Tubeless” with American Classic tubeless valves and latex installed; however any tyre can be run with or without a tube if desired. They are fully compatible with “Tubeless-ready” tyres. They are designed only to take disc brakes – 6 bolt Intl Standard. Also included is the American Classic Instruction leaflet, brake rotor re-enforcers (for use of super-lightweight brake discs) and a cassette spacer ring (important for some cassettes, read the Instruction leaflet). I have a set of the Race 26s on my Zesty and they’ve been superb. These Race 29ers, at 1419 g for the pair (!!!!!) are about as light at 29er wheels can get, and yet are incredibly strong and flex free (I weigh 12 stone). They are much lighter than carbon wheels twice the price !! They’ve won multiple shoot-outs in magazines worldwide, here’s one: http://www.cyclistno1.co.uk/gear/components/wheels/american-classic-race-29-tubeless.htm or check out: http://www.amclassic.com/en/reviews RRP for this wheelset is £700, I'm asking £350 posted to UK Mainland

FOX 32 FLOAT 29er 120mm FIT CTD (with Trail Adjust) KASHIMA

$400 GBP
I got this top of the range Fox Float 29er fork when I bought a Pivot 29er in November 2013 as a complete bike, but I never got on with the whole 29er thing (I still have a 26”). Consequently the bike’s been sitting in my shed unused. I think I rode it 5 times in total. The fork’s condition is amazing. It’s obviously not “New”, but is as close to as you would expect given the genuine lack of any usage. There are some small marks on the steerer tube itself – obviously hidden once installed into a frame (MUST be a frame with a tapered Head-tube), and there’s 1 slight nick on the rear of the right fork leg above the ‘CTD’ sticker, and 1 on the bottom of the same leg under the ‘FIT’ sticker. Apart from that it’s unmarked. Stanchions are perfect; all levers and dials are smooth. CTD (Climb – Trail – Descend) is the Compression setting on top of the right fork leg, and Rebound is on the bottom of the same leg. The ‘Trail’ setting of the CTD has further adjustments to get Compression exactly as you want it in this most normally used setting. Steerer length is 204mm from Crown to top, and a Star Fangled Nut is in place. There is a brake hose guide in place. Brakes are Post Mount, and the Axle is 15mm QR. Manual and copy of original invoice included for warranty purposes (2 year EU warranty) Obviously, this fork gets fantastic reviews in all the worldwide MTB mags, as being the Ultimate XC/Trail 29er fork (just Google it). Current RRP for this fork is £ 729.99. I'm asking £400 posted to UK Mainland
