@Gummo: But do you own a Sony? There isn't any need to switch it on and off to save battery.. If you have the camera set so that its goes to sleep quickly then you'll retain a lot of battery life? You also use the viewfinder to view images properly so could also lower the back screen brightness. Everyone just has the assumption that the batteries are as bad as previous which they aren't. Not only that, a battery doesn't weigh a lot, just buy another haha I had many of batteries for my Canon.
