Troy Brosnan Signs For 3 More Years With Canyon
I want to see these guys talking about their compensation / salaries - keeping it secret ultimately amounts to lower pay for racers and we need our top guys to make BIG bucks for the sport to turn the corner toward the mainstream. Gwinny's transparency into his contract details was a good thing in my opinion - hoping that puts the pressure on the industry to step it up and get some better pay for guys currently renegotiating!

Trek Session 9.9 29 - XL - Custom Build - Mint!!

$4500 USD
Selling my downhill bike from last season - a custom built Trek Session 9.9 29'er in size XL.. it's not incredibly long, I'm 6'1 and fits me perfect - so if you are a racer used to a Large, you should consider this bike.. Bike can be seen in Boston or Montreal - let me know if you want to come take a look! Deal of the century here as the bike is virtually brand new with all custom selected.. I rode it 3 times but broke my back in the 2nd race of the season and decided to hang up pro downhill racing... The bike was unharmed (but I broke 7 vertebrae) so my loss is your gain on this one - asking $4500 USD ($6000 CAD) which is less than half price of the original build! Components listed below: Frame - OCLV Mountain Carbon main frame & stays, 190mm travel Fork - Fox Factory 49 Kashima Coat,190mm travel - custom tuned by Fox Factory technicians Rear Shock - Fox Factory Float X2 Wheels - DT Swiss XM48 rims laced to DT Swiss 350 hubs - black on black Tires - Maxxis DH casing - DHF 2.5 WT front / DHR 2.4WT rear Shifters - Shimano Saint Derailleur - Shimano Saint M820, Shadow Plus - 7 speed conversion kit Cranks - Shimano Saint M825, 36T Guide - MRP G4 Carbon Bottom bracket - Shimano SM-BB80, 83mm Cassette - Shimano (7 speed conversion) Pedals - Shimano Saint SPD Saddle - SDG low profile (to avoid tire buzz) Post - SDG I-Beam, black Bars - Renthal Fatbar 35 - 800mm - 40mm rise Stem - Renthal Direct Mount Grips - Renthal super tacky lock-on, black Headset - FSA Orbit, sealed cartridge bearing Brakes - Shimano Saint M820 hydraulic disc Rotors - Shimano Ice Tech - 203mm front + rear Other - Custom white cabling / detailing

It has seen about one full season as I was injured and all of 2015, only did a few races in 2017, and went up to the new Session 29er for 2018. The bike has been professionally maintained by the Danny’s Cycles Racing team mechanics and has many 2016 and 2017 upgraded parts (i.e., Fork, Rear Shock, Wheels, Swing-Arm, etc.). It is size XL but not huge (should fit anybody about 5’8 to 6’4 tall). Overall in great working condition - minor paint chips and rubbing marks but running mechanically sound. The front and rear suspension has been upgraded to the 2017 top-of-the-line factory series models and was cared for by Fox Factory support (regular service, oil changes, and replacement seals). The fork was just serviced by Fox and stanchions were replaced along with a full rebuild. The rear swing-arm was replaced with the updated 2017 version to address the cracking issues in the 2015 and 2016 models.. PLEASE NOTE: there is a small non-structural crack in the seat tube (noted in the pictures) from pushing the seat post down just a bit too far. We had it looked at by Trek and our team mechanics and they all concluded that the crack has no impact to performance or risk of failure given it is not near any stress-points on the frame. I raced it for 3 races after discovering the crack and I would be confident in racing a full World Cup season on the bike as is.. Trek would not warrantee simply because it was caused by human error and not a design or manufacturing issue.. Selling at a price intended to move fast. Would be great as a complete race-ready machine or just for parts – I will consider part out but prefer full bike sale given the discounted price. This bike is a steal for anybody who wants to upgrade to a top-tier race bike or for someone looking to get more serious about racing as you would pay thousands more for a bike with no crack in the frame.. Bike is located in Boston, MA but I can also bring it up to Montreal, QC. Please contact me (514-265-3716) with any questions. Also selling my 2017 Trek Remedy 9 RSL (21.5"), see link for details ---> https://www.pinkbike.com/buysell/2438410/

I went with the RSL model for the more aggressive geo / spec with the intention of racing a full endure schedule which never happened (2 races total). Selling for a smaller bike for my mellow local XC loop as I don’t intend to race enduro. Very capable going uphill travel and you can lock out the rear shock / drop the fork into the 130mm setting for the more intense climbs. Feels like a mini-DH bike on the descents and corners much better than most of it’s peers in the 150mm travel category. Professionally maintained by the Danny’s Cycles Racing team mechanics. Overall in great working condition - minor paint chips and rubbing marks but runs mechanically sound. Mostly stock build but upgraded cockpit and drivetrain. True size XL frame (21.5”) which should fit anybody 5’10 to 6’6 tall. Bike is located in Pelham, NY but can also be seen in Boston, MA or Montreal, QC if interested. Please contact me (514-265-3716) with any questions. Also selling my 2015 Trek Session 9.9 DH 27.5, upgraded with new parts, size XL.
