Trek Alpha 1.2 HT Compact

$690 CAD
This compact Trek is in very good shape, and the amount of wear on the drivetrain indicates limited use. The frame itself has only a few paint nicks and cleaned up nicely. The reliable Shimano components have a lot of life left in them. It was in very good aesthetic and mechanical condition when I bought it, but it did need a good cleaning and a full tune-up. The rear wheel was replaced at some point and the tires were upgraded to the superior Gator Hardshells. They are still in really good condition. I cleaned the drivetrain thoroughly and relubed it, tuned up the brakes and the shifting, and trued both wheels. I also installed a new saddle, bar tape and rear brake cable. The bike has fender mounts in the front and in the rear. Specs: - 100 Series Alpha Aluminum frame - Bontrager Approved, carbon legs fork - 1-1/8" semi-cartridge bearings headset - Shimano Sora STI 9 speed brake/shift levers - Dual pivot forged alloy brake calipers with multi-condition pads - Shimano Tiagra rear derailleur - Shimano Sora front derailleur - SRAM PG-950 11-28, 9 speed cassette - FSA Vero, 50/34 (compact) crankset - Alexrims DA22 alloy rims laced to Shimano Claris hub in the rear - Bontrager approved alloy rim laced to an alloy hub in the front - Continental Gator Hardshell 700x25c tires - Bontrager Race Lite Alloy infinite tilt adjustment (20mm offset) seatpost - Selle Italia Q-Bik saddle (new) - Bontrager Race VR-C 31.8mm handlebar - Bontrager SSR, 10 degree, 31.8mm stem - ITM bar tape (new)

Giant Talon 27.5 4 (Excellent Condition)

$620 CAD
This entry-level hardtail from well-established Taiwanese manufacturer Giant is in great shape for a used mountain bike. The amount of wear on the drivetrain is indicative of limited use. The frame is in very nice condition, with only a few minor blemishes. Based on the bike’s condition, I doubt that it was ever really taken off road. It was in great aesthetic and mechanical condition when I bought it, but it did need a good cleaning and a full tune-up. I cleaned the drivetrain thoroughly and relubed everything, cleaned the brake pads and disc rotors, tuned up the brakes and the shifting, and trued both wheels. Specs: - ALUXX-grade aluminum frame - SR Suntour XCT w/ hydraulic lockout & preload adjuster, 100mm travel fork - Giant Sport stem - Giant Connect XC, Low rise, 31.8mm handlebar - Tektro Auriga Hydraulic disc 160mm brakes - Tektro Auriga brake levers - Shimano Altus shifters - Shimano Altus 3x8spd front derailleur - SR Suntour XCE crankset (42t/34t/24t, 175mm arms) - Shimano Acera rear derailleur - Shimano HG31 11x34, 8-speed cassette - KMC Z8 chain - Giant Alloy, double-wall rims laced to Giant Tracker Sport Disc 32H hubs - Giant Sport 27.5x2.1 tires - Giant Sport, 30.9mm seatpost - Giant Connect saddle

Rocky Mountain Fusion 940 XC (w/ Upgrades)

$980 CAD
For geometry, etc. see: https://www.bikes.com/en/bikes/sport-xc/2016 This sport XC hardtail from Canadian company Rocky Mountain is in great condition for a used mountain bike. Based on the amount of wear on the drivetrain, I would say it was not ridden a great deal. The frame is especially well preserved, and several of the components were upgraded either by the previous owner or the shop that sold it. The originally spec’d Suntour crankset was replaced with a Shimano Deore, and the rear derailleur is a Shimano XT GS Shadow instead of the original SLX. The fork is also different from what Rocky Mountain provided on these bikes and remote lockout was installed on the handlebar for extra convenience. The stem was swapped out for an adjustable one, and the saddle is also aftermarket and looks unused. The last two things are not really upgrades and were probably swapped out for comfort’s sake. Specs: - Rocky Mountain 6061 Series Custom Hydroformed Alloy frame (with a threaded BB, tapered zerostack headtube, and rack and fender mounts) - RockShox 30 Gold TK 29” Solo 100mm Air Fork (with RockShock remote lockout) - FSA #57 Internal: ZS44 | ZS56mm headset - Satori adjustable stem - Rocky Mountain Zero9 flat 31.8mm x 720mm x 9° sweep handlebar - Shimano M355 Hydraulic Disc 160mm brakes - Shimano M355 brake levers - Shimano Deore Rapid Fire 10spd shifters - Shimano Deore 31.8mm 2x10spd front derailleur - Shimano Deore TC-M600/T6010 2x10spd crankset (36t/26t, 175mm arms) - Shimano Deore XT RD-M786 GS Shadow Plus rear derailleur (w/ a one-way ratcheting cam that can be engaged to prevent chain slap and drops) - Shimano HG50 11-36T 10spd cassette - KMC X10 10spd chain - WTB Wheeltech SX19 rims laced to Shimano RM33 centerlock 32H hubs - Maxxis Sphinx 29" x 2.1" tires - Rocky Mountain L2B 27.2mm x 400mm seatpost - Bontrager Sport saddle

Specialized Allez Sport Triple, 58cm (Fully Tuned Up)

$690 CAD
This older Allez Sport is in very nice condition for its age. Based on the amount of wear on the drivetrain, I would say it was ridden sparingly. The frame is especially well preserved, and the reliable Shimano components have a lot of life left in them. It was in great aesthetic and mechanical condition when I bought it, but it did need a good cleaning and a full tune-up. I cleaned the drivetrain thoroughly and relubed it, tuned up the brakes and the shifting, and trued both wheels. I also installed new tires and inner tubes, high-quality bar tape and Jagwire shift cables and housing. The triple chainring crankset should provide enough gearing options for riding on flats and hills. Specs: - Specialized A1 premium aluminum double-butted & heat-treated frame - Specialized Carbon 2 fork - Shimano Tiagra ST-4400 dual control brake/shift levers - Dual pivot forged alloy brake calipers with multi-condition pads - Shimano 105 RD-5501 rear derailleur - Shimano Tiagra FD-4403 front derailleur - Shimano Tiagra, 9-speed, 12x25t - Specialized Comp crankset (52t/42t/30t) - TH-7420 square taper bottom bracket (68mmx118mm) - Alex AT-400 double wall alloy rims laced to Specialized forged alloy double-seal hubs (28H front/32H rear) - Schwalbe Lugano Active Line K-Guard 700x23c tires w/ Evo inner tubes (new) - Specialized carbon fibre, 27.2x350mm seatpost - Specialized Comp Racing saddle - Specialized Zertz Comp handlebar (racing drop, 31.8mm diameter) - Specialized Pro 3D forged alloy 4-bolt stem - FSA Italian Cork bar tape (new)
