Nitro Bikes 'Hoon' Steel 29er Hardtail – Long, Slack & Capable – Forest Hill, London, size Large. This is my Hoon, made by Nitro Bikes — a small independent company based just outside Manchester. Only around 12 of these frames were ever produced, so it's a bit of a unicorn. It’s a steel 29er hardtail, with geometry and attitude comparable to bikes like the Hello Dave or Chromag Doctahawk. Designed to run 150–170mm travel forks, it’s built for big mountain terrain and bike parks. Think Dyfi Bike Park, BikePark Wales, or even Megavalanche — this is where the Hoon feels at home. Key Features: - 63° head angle - 435mm chainstays - Long reach, short rear for a planted yet playful ride - Unique softail-style rear flex: the seat stays mount well past the seat tube, giving you a subtle flex that takes the sting out of harsh landings. It honestly feels like having 10–20mm of rear travel with a stiff coil shock — surprisingly forgiving on drops and rough landings. Condition: Structurally sound but well-used — plenty of scratches and some dried-on Muc-Off residue on the seat tube and stays. Comes with spare derailleur hangers and a Nukeproof headset.
