The contest rules stated 2minutes no more so that is what I went with and there for no 4-5sec show of logos. Everybody uses fast music to day and I think that's what's makes this music so good and also the timing of sounds. The culmination is quite clearly in the end of the video with the "big jump". just sad that the is no real taste out there in the audience, everything has to have fast "cool" music. Like this one with just so much effects that I think you can get sick. http://www.pinkbike.com/v/154478

Simplerider: Really good arguments, haha not even gonna go down to that level of immaturity. Nikola-kj: I am gonna be the bigger man here and stop arguing but if you just try to read some post here you will see that more people have the same opinion. Have a nice day!

As I said, Fine if some one goes over the time limit with 10sec or so in other words around 2minutes, The third winners video is 3:06 and that is not around 2minutes. And they clearly say "your own 2minute teaser" and not your own around 2minute teaser so don't create your own imaginary world where you can bend the rules. If you so badly want it to say around 2minute teaser then stay in that imaginary world you came from.

Haha you are hilarious!! Fine if some one goes over by 10sec of the time limit or so but by setting a limit you make people put more thought and effort in picking the best shots, being creative with the editing and I can assure you that that's the best way to distinguish between those who have spent time and effort in creating there videos and those who just tried to push in as much cool material as possible. The film/advertising world is all about deadlines, time limits, killing your darling and there by delivering a experience that is richer more creative with better quality. And here is the quote from the rules that is presented before you download all the video material for the recut contest "See these never before seen clips to create your own 2 minute teaser and win a Scott Gambler DH 10 frame..." (link: http://www.pinkbike.com/contest/lifecyclesrecut/ ) Think before you open your mouth next time ;)

befree: Probably people wont take time and effort in creating beautiful things next time there will be a contest (if there will be a next time) because of the way this contest has been handled. Joe-fisher: I agree but I wouldn't put all the responsibility on Life cycles as pinkbike is the one that hosted the contest and we don't have insight in how much Life Cycles or pinkbike has been involved in the judging but clearly something has gone wrong and it shows in the picking of the winners and much more. (videos has gone over the maximum time limit of 2min is one example but that the third winner even got considered as a winner is the best example)

treevsbike: So just because they won I can’t have an opinion about them, how would the world look if people did not have strong opinions about things. And I do think you misunderstood me, I am not jealous at the winners, congratulations to them I just thought life cycles would bring something new to the table as they do with their movie. Most of the problems in this contest is not how good the videos are, it's more about the way they picked the winners and that the rules of the contest was not followed, most viewed and the 2min limit rule. buhgina: no taste there by no answer.

One more thing, two of the winners should have been disqualified because there videos did go over the 2min mark that was one of the rules!! Why set rules if it's just fine to brake them?? The contest was like the third winner a big joke!!
