Mountain-Manic

I love riding bikes, hangin' with friends, and building new trails. I love being behind a camera, but its time for an upgrade from my point-and-shoot. Razz

Reality Redesigned: People's Choice Award
These are all great Ideas! Some of them would never work in the real world, while I can see others becoming a major success. The Footsie and the Fork Sleeve, in my mind are the most likely to catch on quickly, while the Derailleur Guide seems likely to become the next big thing, but build up steam more slowly. When this contest was first announced, I started working on a design for a derailleur guide, but could never get a final design through, and eventually went back to doing my school work. My vote is for the Derailleur Guide. :D

Its a short so its the smaller version, Scott only makes a "Short" and a "Long". I'm 5'8" and it fits me perfectly. This bike is really versatile, and rideable on almost all terrain in its long travel setting, but when you switch it into its short travel setup, you can even get some decent performance at the dirt jumps. At the time those photos were taken I had been riding out there weekly, and almost every day during the summer so I had enough ride time on it to know how to get it over those jumps easily. To be honest, calabazas is where this bike has spent most of its time.

Scott Voltage FR20 :: Lightly Used

$1700 USD
I am putting my 2010 Scott Voltage FR20 up for sale. It will be tough to do it, but I've decided that I just don't ride it enough anymore and it deserves to be put to good use. The main reason I am selling it is to buy a Nikon D300S, so I need to free up some funds. I bought the bike new from Tread Bikes in Campbell, CA in April 2010, and its been well taken care of ever since. I have kept the bike inside my house while not riding since I bought it, and the only time it was outside overnight was on the camping trip my family took this summer. Everything on the bike except for the bars and tires are stock. The front brake was replaced on warranty in early January 2011 due to a stuck piston. The front brake pad still has many more rides in it; the back pad will also last for many more rides, but will need to be replaced sooner than the front (due to front brake being replaced). I currently have WTB Dissent 2.5 tires mounted but I will also include the original Schwalbe Big Betty tires that, looking back at them now, make me question why I even bothered to replace them, they still have 65-70% of their tread! The Fox Van-R feels as good as the day I bought the bike, and the RockShox Domain up front works great too. If you have any questions about the bike, PM me and I will get back to you within a couple days, if not sooner. I will add more recent pics in a few days. I am open to offers, but I'm not in a rush to sell it. I prefer local sale.

Scott Voltage FR 20 Review
Good to see a positive review of the 20 come out right when I'm thinking about selling my 2010. :) Its been a great riding bike and I still love it, but the fact is that now a days I want to take pics more than I want to ride, and I need a new camera. Best bike I've ever owned, best I will own for a long time.
