For sale is my newly built up custom boardman single speed road bike (can easily be turned into a fixie, you just need the cog and lockring) as I have a freewheel on the bike at the moment. Selling this on behalf of a friend that wants to get into road biking and needs funds. The bike is a 2009 Verde Luxe. The Luxe was one of the higher end models at the time and is a pretty nice looking bike if I do say so myself. The bike has literally been used no more than 10 times or so and is pretty immaculate just with a couple of scratches down the fork where this has been stored and a little brake pad wear. The pictures don't do it justice to be fair. Just after getting it my friend decided he wanted an all white theme going on so he changed a few things... Xposure brake lever and calliper in white. Ody slick brake cable in white. He then decided to change the wheels, the hubs on this bike are a really nice bronze colour that match a lot of the hardware on it like stem bolts etc that are all bronze colour and he couldn't bring himself to change them so he got the wheels rebuilt at our LBS with matching white spokes back onto the same rims and hub. and some white (federal I think) grips too. He has asked for around £250 for the bike due to how little it has been used although he will accept offers, or maybe even a trade for a road bike?(not fixie, sorry) I work in a bike shop so will re-grease the bike, give it a clean and a quick once over in the stand at work before it goes. Due to lack of use and other builds getting in the way I'm selling my Stereo Treble bike, I think this bike was the 2010 model but I bought it mid 2011 for £450 brand new from chain reaction. This bike hasn't been used a massive amount to be honest. I have changed on the bike: Bars - macniel XLT's Barends - proper bike co team Grips - proper team grips Seatpost - Federal stump seatpost Seat - Rogue Status v2 Rear Wheel - GT wheel, in white. Pedals - odyssey twisted pc red Chain - KMC something or other, it's a generic KMC chain which every brand seems to stamp their name on. Tyres - Odyssey Aitkens Brakes - Currently this bike is brakeless, The brake mounts are still there just covered up in matching red tape in case you want to put brakes on. The bike has a couple of scratches and tiny paint chips on the bars, TT and from the chain. Other than that it's all good, and the red colour looks amazing. They're no dents or cracks what so ever. As you can see it's all fairly standard but everything is nice and solid, I haven't really bothered to change anything on it unless it's bothered me or broken. With the bike I'll chuck in the old wheel that came with the bike, I wrecked the hub so it needs a new one but the rim is nice and straight, I'll also throw in a brand new salt brake lever and the original bars from the bike. I changed the bars as they weren't very comfortable, I'm pretty tall. I'm looking for around £220 but I'll accept sensible offers, For £240 I will deliver anywhere within 25 miles of Coventry junction 2 of the M6 as that's where I'm located. I could also box and pack this bike up but you would need to arrange the courier at your expense or come and collect the bike yourself of course. Any more pics on request. Before I part with the bike I will get it in the bike stand at work and give it a re-grease, clean and will pull the rear wheel back as the chain was slack from removing the wheel to get it in my mates car in the pictures.
