Bike Check: Joe Barnes' Orange Alpine 6 Has a New Coil Shock From Formula
Chris Porter ( Mr Geomotron) Actually did that a few years ago on one of the downhill bikes using a hope Free-hub body on the actual pivot, I'm not sure whether it would be good for a general bike, because you want some chain tension and anti squat/ squat to help it pedal.

Well I'm Biast, they are literally over the hill from me , and compared to my wheezing my stage six is silent ! ( And fast, and probably really fast if owned by someone competent)

Feb 4, 2019Nicolai Ion 16/ Geometron 650B Frame and Shock
$900 GBPHere for sale is My Custom Geo Nicolai Ion 16 which was an early incarnation of what became Geometron bikes.
the current nearest sizing would be like one of the "Longer models" If you're between 5"8 = 5"11 should be perfect if you want a longer reach bike, if your over 5"11 it'll probably feel like a lot of companies XL's!
Rear is 142mm spacing ( I ummed and arr'd about Boost! But the frame is so stiff it didn't seem worth it) )
Geo - (please see pictures) ) Bus basically it's 64% head angle 486 reach - and amazing standover with with 430mm seat tube.
Comes with with Fox x2 216 MM eye to eye and 63mm Stroke which get's about 150mm of travel of the rear, I personally mated it with a 170mm 36 ( Also for sale) which slackened it off a bit more and improved seat angle.
The frame is functionally mint, no creaks no groans, no loose bearing etc etc, but it's been ridden so has scratches here and there and few bits of "Buck shot" underneath from rocks etc.
IMO even a cheap re-spray if you were bothered about such things and you's have a Nicolai that looks brand new - build quality is superb.
If you haven't owned one, the frame quality of Nicolai's is amazing I've had other bikes that have felt baggy in six months and dead feeling after year, not so with this, it feels just as good as day one.
Included with it will also be Hope headset and replacement hanger, and hope QR seat clamp
please remember the X2 retail for £699.00
I'm only selling as I have another one on order and my wife has said the N+1 rule is b*llocks !

Burning Question: Is Super Boost 157 Spacing Going to Become the New Standard?
@tremeer023: You don't expect you're car to have the same standards forever though, do you? You expect them to incrementally improve all the time, bike industry is the same.

Pacenti Puts P-DENT Into Production
With OnOff you are stuck with 30mm as the minimum in a regular stem format, and the 10mm stem makes the front end really high, and a pain to fit - I don't think anyone is saying that the Pdent is for everyone, but will be for some people.
