Sep 3, 202329er Minion DHF DHs, Maxxterra Shorty 2.5
$123 GBP3 top quality 29er tyres for sale... The reason? I have too many tyres!
Pair of Maxxis Minion DH carcass DHF 29 x 2.5. Front is a Maxxgrip, rear is the dual compound- as it should be. I ran these as an uplift/holiday tyre set but I’ve ended up with a set of dhr2s which work better for me, I don’t really need the full on dh carcass as I’m light and not usually very hard on tyres. Prefer to sell these as a pair for £35 for both.
Maxxis Shorty 29×2.5 maxxterra exo. Just a really brilliant winter tyre, but, I’m addicted to super soft rubber so I’ve replaced this with a maxxgrip. OTOH the maxxgrip rolls like a council slab, this was a more sensible everyday tyre. Also pretty lightly worn, because of a complicated screwup where I accidentally left it in a mate’s van for an entire year. £25
Collection possible from EH26

Orange's New Bike Has a Built in Filing Cabinet - Sea Otter 2023
@JohSch: They're really not that heavy. Nothing to 'em, is why, the construction isn't super light but they save weight in the linkages and bearings they don't have.

Orange's New Bike Has a Built in Filing Cabinet - Sea Otter 2023
The normal bikes- the ones that don't look like someone's had a breakdown- mostly work really well, that's why. They've had more reliability issues recently which has got to be hurting- I just don't really trust my Stage 6, I'd not take it out for a fortnight in the alps like I would with my rocketmax or even my old Remedy... But it rides bloody well.
Big wheels and big travel suits the single pivot really well I think, with short travel we want efficiency and suchlike, with big fuck-off enduro bikes we're happier with blunt force. The original five 29 was, like, the second good long travel 29er anyone ever made frinstance (but no bugger bought it, because anyone that wanted a big rock-smasher bought an Alpine without trying it and anyone that would have bought a Five rode it and went, this is way too much bike for me, and got a Five)
