Rich getting out for the first berms of the season.
It has been another mad pre-season with more on our plate than we actually thought possible. Serendipitous events have allowed us to have access to most equipment this park has ever seen. On several days there was the din of 2 excavators and a D4 Cat shaping the earth which could be heard above the forest. In addition to that good fortune, the entire crew is back from last season. Their collective knowledge is allowing for creative thought and a get’r done attitude.
Here are few things in store for this summer:Let it RideLast season we built 2 new phases of this beginner trail to enhance the entry level experience. This spring we have completed the final 2 phases totalling almost 2km. There are now more the 4kms of machine built goodness from the Top of The Mile to the base. The style of construction of this trail will probably make it a favorite warm up lap for more experienced riders. The crew in our rental shop took a test run through the new sections and were blown away by how flowy and fun the new trail is.

Building trails requires laser like focus - Owen Peters
Hell’s BellsHell’s is a getting a makeover that would make most of Hollywood envious. The existing jump line has been completely removed. Massive amounts of dirt have been farmed in to create modern jump shapes that work with the natural grade of the terrain. You can count on airing it out on opening day.
InsanityPanorama has a long history of hosting Canada Cup Downhill races. This summer we will once again host a Canada Cup stop but a new partnership with the Dunbar Summer will see both BC Cup and Canada Cup series points up for grabs. We are excited to work with SE Racing as they are a class act, hosting the best DH bike events in the west.
A new line out this Cliff's section will greatly improve the track this July.
The crew has been working hard to add more length and challenge to the venerable Insanity track. We are scoping a couple of raw tech sections around the Plunge and the Dollar Sign. Look for an improved exit from the Cliff's that will allow racers to stay on the gas into a new natural section. Spectators and racers alike will enjoy 3 new chances to take air as you come into the new finish area right in front of the Great Hall.
Look OutThis run was closed last season to make way from the construction of the new chairlift. A favourite with intermediate and advanced riders - we are happy to get this classic back on the map for this summer.
Bears have been plentiful this spring.
Like Aaron Gwin we hope we can ride the momentum throughout the season to keep bringing you a best possible ride.
