This is a bike with character! GIOS Competition. Italian steel framed bike from unknown year. I guess it is end sixties/early seventies but that is just a guess GIOS is a long established Italian bike brand that made bikes for some famous cyclists in the past Bought it about 10 years ago to ride Eroica. Haven't used it since as it is a bit on the small size for me. I am 6ft Tyres need pumping up/replacing but after that it is ready to go for another Eroica ;-) It has an old fashioned lock on the front fork and a big clock type speedo from the early seventies. It is not light weight but the paint work looks pretty good for its age You won't see many like this. I like vintage bikes but this is the only one of this type that I have ever seen.
