Peaty's Expands Product Line to Include New Serviceable 'Monarch' Saddle That Features a Handle
@chrismac70: Ay up pal, which saddle are you referring to? From a distance, with a bit of a squint, we can see why some might look similar. There are only so many ways you can shape a saddle, but once you get into the details, the Monarch is very different to any of them. Let us know.

Hi mate, yeah from a distance, with a bit of a squint, we can definitely see the resemblance in the overall silhouette. There are only so many ways to shape a saddle around the human body.
Once you get into the details though, they’re quite different. Monarch is shorter and slightly wider at 260mm x 145mm, with a 40mm pressure-relief channel, suspended rails, reinforced shoulders and a removable, serviceable rail assembly.
We developed the shape ourselves over the past few years through loads of 3D-printed prototypes, riding and refinement, before investing in our own tooling for the final design.

Hi mate, exactly the sort of thing we designed it for 👌 The rail assembly is removable and replaceable, so bent rails don’t have to mean binning an otherwise perfectly good saddle.
It also means if a creak ever develops at the rail interfaces, you can strip it down, clean the grit out, re-grease everything properly and get it running quiet again, rather than spraying something through the gaps and hoping for the best.
Only a small part of what we’ve built into the Monarch, but a pretty handy one when you need it

Totally fair pal, you do naturally grab most saddles there anyway, it’s just usually a pretty shit handle.
We’ve put a proper little curve underneath so your fingers actually have something to hook into. Tiny feature in the grand scheme of the saddle, but surprisingly useful. After getting used to it, grabbing a normal saddle again and having your fingers slide around the smooth edge feels weirdly annoying 😂
