Video: Between the Trees
Squamish is one of those trails that has near mythic status, so I think they chose the music to reflect that. Coupled with the slow motion sequences and long panning shots of the landscape, it creates the impression that the riders are two travellers making their way through an enchanted forest. The ethereal, slightly malevolent feel to the track evokes that pretty well.

I was more alarmed by his front teeth. It seems as if the poor schmoe's had a set-to with a large rock at some point.

Video: Urban Freeride Is Not Dead - Jaws
There's no harm in throwing in a skid or two on your way down. The lad in the vid clearly enjoys screeching round corners - good on him. He doesn't need to justify that to anyone, least of all a faceless internet naysayer. We're meant to ride bikes for fun. He's having some. /end
(I thought the 'above average skills' dig was a little unfair, too. Maybe he isn't a 'real freerider' such as yourself, but he's clearly competent and has balls).
