I built this bike up in 2015 from a 2007 Santa Cruz Heckler 5.0 frame. I had the frame and swing-arm stripped and powder coated matte black and applied new decals. The BB and headtube were chased and faced and I replaced the swing arm pivot bearings and all the bolts. I built the bike up using new and secondhand components including: Marzocchi 55 R 160 mm forks (20mm thru-axle). Fox Float R rear shock. Mavic EN423 front rim and WTB Laser Disc Trail rear rim built onto limited edition Santa Cruz engraved Hope Pro II hubs. FSA Orbit MX headset. FSA ISIS Drive bottom bracket (there is a little bit of play but I expect new owner would upgrade to an external BB anyway). FSA ISIS/JIS/PD crankset (currently running 2x8 but will accept a triple). Shimano Altus front/rear mechs and shifters. Shimano M396 hydraulic MTB disc brake set with 160mm rotors. Black Chromag Fubars Acute Riser H 750mm handlebars. Purple SDG Hansolo lock-on grips.
