Testing the waters on my Forty Four Marauder custom NH built hardtail... this bike is a ripper and deserves to be ridden! I custom ordered this a while back when I moved to San Diego and rode it for a few years off and on but realized a 29" full suspension was easier on my back so it's sat fairly dormant for a while in my house (never outside). All of the specs are listed in one of the attached images, along with a geometry CAD drawing (which is pretty cool). I'm 5'-7" with a 31" inseam and the bike fits really well as it should. I did upgrade the pedals to some bitchin' Yoshimura flats as well. Per my Strava stats, I've only ridden this bike 674.1 miles since purchasing, that's a shame that it's been this neglected but I've gravitated towards my Ripmo and gravel cycling mainly... my loss is yours (or your kid's) next great bike. This wheelset served me really well, but then I upgraded to 700c so these are now up for sale. Anyone who has done their research knows that the DT Swiss Spline interface is practically bombproof, and I've also upgraded the system with the 54T Star ratchet kit ($130 retail) so these really engage quickly. I'm also including mounted tires with minimal miles, the WTB Ventures in 47mm. I absolutely love this bike and how it rides, very stable, great geometry, tons of forgiveness on the washboard and singletrack segments I've ridden, and just an all around comfortable, versatile ride. I did a bunch of upgrades that I planned on moving over to my new bike, but some didn't work out so my loss is your gain. The Whisky fork makes this bike look much cleaner (the original fork, which is included, is sort of a thin steel noodle) and it rides really well. Ritchey stem and post are classic good looking bits, the King seat collar is clean and unnecessarily awesome. I love the AbsoluteBLACK oval chainring and have one on my new bike as well. I also upgraded the bottom bracket to an Enduro Bearings MaxHit, very smooth. I just had this re-built up at my shop and they put brand new bar tape and a chain on it, so it should be ready to roll! Selling my Paul Klamper mechanical brakes I bought in November of 2024 and had on my Surly Midnight Special frame. I had planned on swapping these over to my new frame, but the clearances wouldn't allow it unfortunately.I absolutely love these brakes and the modulation and power, my loss is your gain. These are flat-mount / short pull style for SRAM / Shimano so they work with road levers only. These also have the Baby Groovy Barrel Adjusters in Orange to match ($40 upgrade).
