What’s the Most Compliant MTB Handlebar? [Updated With SQ Lab]
I found this so interesting that I bothered to post for maybe like the first time since joining PinkBike a long time ago... So these tests posit that there is no meaningful difference in vibration dampening, and that 1.2mm or whatever it was deflection difference between the most compliant and stiffest bars says a lot. Yet I've read soooo much about people complaining about bar stiffness on 35.0 bars, and how much better say a OneUp bar is. I find the RaceFace alloy bars on my bike seem very stiff. I also run a Z2 that I think could greatly benefit from a proper tear down and set up than what was done at the factory, which should help it's small bump compliance. I know that so much of bike marketing is hype, and I've had the chance to experience the differences- road wheelset with TPU tube weight shedding, remarkable. 200 grams lighter per wheel and more supple casing on my hardtail? No discernible difference. So a OneUp bar would help, or is it just all in our heads?

$135 CADShimano 9 speed 180mm XT cranks (FC-M760 ). Rings have plenty of life left in them: 44/32/22. Arms show rub from usage, pretty common with Shimano bits!
Nice Chris King BB, bearings still run very smooth. Plus the bearings can be replaced, not just the entire BB!
