Customer had this shock serviced at another shop and still had a leakdown issue. I guess the other shop didn't own a Park Tool Soapy Water Spray Bottle, (SWSB-1.2) Problem was the valve body-to-eyelet O-ring. Beanie's Bike Shop. We have Nitrogen. We do shock service. We do mail order.

Pueblo Canyon Rim Trail carbon stem & handlebar testing

Love this trail. Several features that demand both confidence and commitment to nail clean. The giant boulder traverse w/ drop off at 1:00 stalls me out about 2 out of every 3 tries. Hard to go all out next to a 100' drop...

Balancing spoke tension and basic truing

This isn't a tutorial. It's just the "meaty" part of a build where I'm plucking spokes and using the tone to help decide which spokes to adjust to bring the wheel into true and balance spoke tension at the same time. . After this stage I get out the tensiometer and check/adjust both actual spoke tension values and dish.

Just a short video of the better half of my morning commute. This is Canyon Rim Trail on the east side of Los Alamos and a little bit of NM502 at the end. Not often that you see this much curvy pavement with no cars on it. Gotta watch out for the pedestrians somewhat, though.

Drop bar DH on a bamboo road bike

Just what it says on the tin. Bottom of Guaje Ridge outside Los Alamos NM on my laminated bamboo BME Design B8 with GravityWorx Javelina28 carbon wheels and Bruce Gordon Rock'n'Road 700x43 tires. Sure, a long travel DH rig would be even faster, but it would have been a bitch to ride from my house to here.

This is what I think of as the "back way" into Valles Caldera National Preserve. It splits off the trail between Canada Bonita and Guaje Ridge and drops in on an abandoned access road. Lots of fun until you get a bug in your eye. Just sayin... Bike is my BME Design B8 laminated bamboo w/ GravityWorx Javelina28 carbon wheels.

A few short clips of one of my favorite haunts. Valles Caldera National Preserve. Although cars are allowed in parts of it, you can ride a long time without seeing one.
