Call of the Wild - Bikepacking the Coast Mountains
"It is generally easier to find information about top-quality rides on the web, than to find evidence that a particular trail is actually no place for a bicycle at all." ---- this is SO true. A few years ago I scoured the internet for a good several thousand food descent in the Presidentials in New Hampshire, USA. Long story short, the lack of information on long sustained mtb descents in the area led me to use a topo trail map for hiking to plan my route. I decided on hiking up and riding down the airline trail of mount madison on a 5 inch travel bike..... I likely rode about 1.2 miles of that 3+ mile descent, and the parts that were "rideable" left me needing clean shorts..... scariest descent of my life, any who have been there know that this was a foolishly optimistic endeavor at best.--- Nothing like fighting a grizzly, though, Awesome story!

Pinkbike Poll: How Has Your Riding Style Changed Over the Years?
True for me. I am 25 now, (so exactly the age you said) and was racing xc a lot in that decade, but now ride a 6" travel bike and focus more on developing bike handling skills. Less racing, but do plan on hitting a few enduros.

Deadline Coming Up: Proposals Due March 6th for ‘Bell Built’ Program
YES, Maine has perhaps more untapped potential than any state. So much forest, plenty of hills, but zero infrastructure as far as cycling specific trails. Most of the trails here are so secret that the one dude who knows where the jumps are sold his mtb for ice fishing gear 10 years ago and isn't sure if the trail is still there.....there is some good stuff here and there, but for the most forested state (by percentage of total area) in the country, we need to do better than this.

The Unofficial Cycling Code of Conduct
I like to ride, but I am not an ambassador for my sport. I am not trying to keep people away with my sideburns and mismatched kit, or trying to be a "typical pinkbike hipster" but I did just spend over 3k on a used bike, so excuse this college kid for just riding with what I have. Weather this article is trolling or not it is useless.... it could at least be funny.

The Unofficial Cycling Code of Conduct
I'll be keeping my massive chops, and spent all my money on my bike so my kit won't be matching either. Sorry for turning everyone away from cycling, brah.
