1993 R. Brian Baylis Campagnolo Road Bike 58cm

$2500 USD
Selling a one-of-a-kind R. Brian Baylis road bike. It was built for an old coworker of mine that used to ride with Brian back in the early 90's down in San Diego California. It is a size 58cm. It has a 58cm Top Tube (center to center), 58cm Seat tube (center of the bottom bracket to top of seat tube) and has a 32-inch standover height (from the ground to top of top tube). Painted in Italian colors and made to look older than it is, but I can assure you it is a 1993 build. It does have a dent on the down tube from the front brake being spun all the way around and some minor paint damage near the front internal cable routing hole. It is made out of Reynolds 731 OS Race tubing with gold accents around the lugs. It is ended with Columbia dropouts. The only things that have been done to the bike since original completion are a change of stem (90 from 130 to accommodate my size, I do have the original stem), bar tape (I tried to keep the "old school feel" with leather, twine wrap, and wine bottle cork bar ends, change of saddle (I don't know what it had on originally but I figured a Brooks Swift would look good). The Brooks saddle on it is well broken in. The tires are take off Giant tires that could and should probably be changed out soon (put on by the original owner). Not pictured are the original Campagnolo pedals which I do have still. -Full Campagnolo Athena Record Groupset 1991 with Ergo Shifters -Campagnolo Brakes -Cinelli Campione Del Mondo Bars (unsure of width) -Cinelli Quill Stem -Campagnolo Chorus hubs with USA Made Matrix rims -Campagnolo Seat Post -Color Match Campagnolo Pump -Brooks Swift Saddle -Brooks bar tape with twine wrap finish Brian Baylis died in 2016, so there is a decreasing number of these bikes for sale that isn't already in a private collection. I can also take more detailed pictures of what ever is asked of me.
