Video & Photo Story: Unreal Single Track in Scotland with Scotty Laughland
Trying my best to ride sensibly and smart for the location whilst also going at a good trail speed. It's a hard thing to demonstrate and even easier to be critiqued upon when it's on film!

Thanks Richard and that's good feedback, perhaps an idea I'll look into that as a standalone video in the future using some of the content gathered here!

Thanks, if you watch the intro video to the series you'll understand my reasons behind the storyline!

Unless you have sunshine like this, not a single midge and we were there in mid July!

Video & Photo Story: The Best Hand Cut Trails in Scotland, Perthshire
All valid points and I totally get your opinion, I've tried to be as sensitive as possible. Many have been raced on and all are 'listed' trails on multiple apps that if anyone knew of the location, they'd be able to find with a little bit of research. Episode 2 + 3 both discuss Scottish trail rights and work trail associations are doing. It's worth noting that the ad revenue generated from the series is being donated between planting more native trees to our landscape and the trail associations so they can keep doing what they do!

To correct you, I'm offsetting my carbon footprint from travelling around Scotland in my diesel van by planting native Scottish trees. My videographer and photographer were both on eBike's during the production of the series to make it easier for them carrying their 15 - 20kg bags of gear. For the majority of the episodes, we actually hiked up each trail to scout areas for filming and the days on average for me were around1500m of climbing/hiking for repeat shots. There's a lot more that goes in to making these videos than you'd think. On occasion and if the opportunity was there, yes, I'd grab on to make things a little easier and allow us to maximise our film time. That aside, I hope you're enjoying the series, this has been a labour of love, a team effort and sharing these stories is something I'm very passionate about!
