This beauty was bought in late 2020 (2021 model) as a frame straight from the Commencal sanctuary, and it's been transformed into a one-of-a-kind, custom dream machine closely aligned with their revered 'Race' spec model. Specs That'll Leave You Drooling: Meta TR 29 Frame with a generous 140mm of travel. Rockshox Lyrik Ultimate 160mm fork with a 42mm offset. Rockshox Super Deluxe Ultimate Coil shock sporting a 450lb spring. A Shimano XT/SLX groupset that's the stuff of legends - XT crankset, XT shifter, SLX mech, and an SLX 10-51 cassette. Formula Cura 4 brakes for stopping on a dime. Shimano 203 rotors at the front and rear for extra stopping power. A Hunt Trailwide front wheel and Enduro Wide V2 rear wheel Shwalbe Big Betty DH casing on the rear and Hutchinson Griffus 2.4 RacingLab on the front for grip and confidence. Rimpact inserts at both ends for added protection. A OneUp 210 dropper post (shimmed down to 190) Nukeproof Horizon bar and stem for precise handling. Plus, I've thrown in a spare mech hanger and a couple of fresh brake pads (Galfer Red) to sweeten the deal. The Good Stuff: Apart from this bike's envy-inducing spec, it's been pampered like royalty. Regular fork lowers oil changes every six months, with fresh fork wiper seals for good measure. Pivot bearings have been lovingly replaced twice, with the most recent change happening just a few months back. And the front triangle? It's been wrapped in 3M protection tape since day one, preserving its pristine look. You could remove it for an even cleaner appearance, but why mess with perfection? The Less Good Stuff: Okay, it's not all sunshine and rainbows, but even our blemishes have character. The brakes could use a little love - a bleed and new O-rings on the bleed ports would work wonders. I've got the replacement O-rings ready, I just never found the time (I was too busy shredding trails!). And yes, there are some cosmetic scuffs on the frame and a few components, but don't sweat it. Most of those on the front triangle are on the 3M protective tape, purely superficial. The bottom of the down tube has seen more action thanks to the roof rack clamp, but it's still standing strong. Oh, and the right-side seat stay lost its logo to heel rub, but honestly, who needs logos when you've got this raw, polished aluminum beauty turning heads? Let me know if you're interested.
