Avalanche type 'races' are (possibly) the most fun thing I've done over a bike in the last years. If you haven't done one and there's one near (or not so near) you, don't doubt it, go, ride and get a helluva fun. Take it easy, have fun and relax on those races.
In 2019 I plan to do two Maxis, One Mega (Alp d'Huez) and... (funds permitting) maybe 5/6 days in Whistler along some other alpine riding (Spanish Pyrenees) and lots of Bike Park.

What kind of 'hardcore hardtail bike' is the one where there's no Orange P7/Crush and/or Whyte 90x model? Maybe a wuss one?
