Winter Park Resort is Now Hiring for a Bike Mechanic Assistant Manager position in our Rentals department! The Rental Bike Mechanic assistant manager is responsible for the overall operation of the ski rental, repair shops, and/or bike repair. Responsibilities include the overall staffing, budgeting, and equipment rental and repair/mechanic operation. The manager must also be familiar with insurance and liability as it applies to rentals and releases. Consistently follows policies and procedures as defined in the Winter Park Employee Handbook. Responsibilities Overseeing/Managing Bike repair shop crew leaders and bike repair mechanics, and delegate's specific duties in their areas of responsibility. Assist Senior Group Manager in hiring and maintaining an adequate staff, providing staff training on excellent guest service and company policies and in areas of repairing bike techniques, and providing a reasonably safe work environment for employees. Good written and oral communication skills, computer skills, team player attitude, and cash handling skills required. Duties include daily opening and closing of location, staff management, daily and weekly reports, as well as merchandise inventory control. Coordinate daily with W.P. Accounting cash office to balance registers, turn in money, and monitor tuning and bike repair shop revenue. Responsible for training, development and evaluation of all the front line staff. Provide leadership, motivation counseling, and coaching for direct reports. Responsible for training staff to be knowledgeable sales/rental people with a superior level of guest service. Ensures the scheduling and staffing levels are appropriate for business levels and reacts as needed. Experience Must have at least a High School Diploma or GED Previous experience working in a Bike shop as a mechanic with an overall strong knowledge of all types of bikes required Previous experience specifically working with Rockshox and Fox suspensions required (suspension forks/spring shocks) Visit our Winter Park Resort website to apply online today!
