Job Posting: Digital Content Creator in Revelstoke BC, and Nepal

Wandering Wheels is hiring a Digital Content Creator for their summer and fall seasons of guiding and coaching in Revelstoke BC, and the Himalayas of Nepal.


Are you a professional, fun loving photographer and videographer with a background or education in social media marketing? Do you love riding bikes and have a thirst for incredible mtb experiences, travel, and adventure? If so, we might just have the perfect opportunity for you!

Wandering Wheels is an industry leading mountain bike guiding and coaching company based in Revelstoke, British Columbia, Canada. We offer guided helibike trips and tours, guided pedal and shuttle tours, E-Bike tours, and shuttle services. We also operate mountain bike lessons, kids camps, and skills clinics. During our shoulder seasons (typically autumn) we organize and guide incredible mountain bike trips in the Himalayas of Nepal!

The successful candidate would live in, or be willing to relocate to Revelstoke BC, for the summer season, and would be willing to travel to Nepal for approximately 7 weeks of work in October - November.


Position: Digital Content Creator (Videography, Photography, Social Media Management)
Job Type: Full Time, 25 Week Contract
Location: Revelstoke, B.C. and Nepal
Dates: May 17 - September 11 (Revelstoke), October 1 - November 19 (Nepal)

Contract Salary: $18,000

Perks Include: Heli-biking, lots of riding time on some of the world's best trails, plenty of delicious free food, international return flight to Nepal, 7 weeks accommodation in Nepal.

Duties Include:
- Producing high quality photo and video content for social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
- Delivering an agreed upon amount of professional quality photos and video clips, fully produced and edited promotional videos, and weekly “vlog” style YouTube videos.
- Working with our management team to develop and implement social media and email marketing strategies.
- Managing social media channels for the duration of the contract period.

Job Requirements:
- Education and/or previous experience with digital marketing and content creation.
- Previous experience planning, filming, and producing professional quality video edits.
- Previous experience planning and executing professional quality photo shoots.
- Previous experience managing social media platforms for business.
- Must have your own modern and well maintained enduro style mountain bike and be a proficient and fit rider. You don't have to be a pro but you will be riding some of the biggest and sometimes gnarliest trails in the world.
- Must have your own high quality video and photo equipment (cameras, drone, GoPro’s etc.) as well as a computer with editing software, and mobile device.

Other Assets Include:
- Experience with graphic design.
- Experience with paid advertising strategies on YouTube and Google.
- Experience operating adventure sports photo and video shoots specifically in a guided group setting.
- Proficiency in riding black and double black diamond rated trails in B.C.
- Knowledge of Revelstoke and area trail networks.
- Previous experience working in the mountain bike industry.
- Previous experience travelling in the Himalayas of Nepal or other high-altitude destinations.
- Occupational or Wilderness First Aid training.
