Apr 3, 2025Trek Remedy 8 M/L PRICE DROP
$1000 GBPSelling my Trek Remedy 8 2021 size M/L. Suitable for persons 5'8" - 5'11" as per Trek's website. This bike has been ridden very infrequently for the last 2 and a bit years. It's got a fair amount of scuffs and scratches but all cosmetic only. Spec will be detailed below, but in terms of repairs/maintenance required I would only buy a new rear tire if I was to keep riding it as it is pretty worn out and has a hole which tubeless couldn't fix (tube in at the moment). Frame bearings, bottom bracket and rear hub were replaced just before I stopped riding much and fork had a full service. Chainring, chain and grips are brand new (bought in the last month). Brakes have also been bled in the last month. Basically I'm just getting back into MTB and have bought a new bike which suits my needs better so don't need this one anymore. It has served me very well in the past though and would have been happy riding it for the coming summer, but found a new deal that I couldn't refuse.
Spec:
Fork: RockShox Lyrik Select+, DebonAir spring, Charger 2.1 RC damper, tapered steerer, 46 mm offset, Boost110, 15 mm Maxle Stealth, 160 mm travel
Shock: RockShox Super Deluxe Select+, 230x57.5 mm, 150 mm travel
Wheel front: Bontrager Line Comp 30, Tubeless Ready, 6-bolt, Boost110, 15 mm thru axle, 27.5"
Wheel rear: DT swiss 350 hub, Bontrager line comp 30 rim (same as front)
Cassette: SRAM 1x11s XG1150 10-42
Derailleur: SRAM NX 1x11s
Chain: SRAM X1 11s
Cranks: SRAM EAGLE X1 175mm
Chainring: SRAM 1x11s 32t
Shifter: SRAM GX 11s
Front brake: SRAM Code R 200mm rotor
Rear Brake: SRAM Guide RE 180mm rotor
Bars: Bontrager Line, alloy, 35 mm, 27.5 mm rise, 760 mm width
Stem: Bontrager Line, 35 mm, 0-degree, 50 mm length
Seatpost: Bontrager Line Dropper, 150 mm travel, internal routing, 31.6 mm, 440mm length
Bottom bracket: SRAM DUB, 92 mm, PressFit
Saddle: Bontrager Arvada, hollow chromoly rails, 138 mm width
Grips: DMR Deathgrips
Front tire: Maxxis Assegai 27.5x2.6 Exo+ (not much wear on it)
Rear tire: Maxxis Minion DHR 27.5x2.6 Exo
Pedals not included
The dropper post anodised finish has basically gone on the back of it for ages, but it hasn't affected performance.

$1100 EURThis confidence inspiring “hardcore” hardtail will take you to new levels of riding, light, nimble but still so stable at high speeds, I’ve had some of the most fun on a bike with it. The spec is on point too; a RockShox Yari fork with 140mm of travel, Shimano XT brakes and drivetrain and a RockSox Reverb dropper post are the standouts of this bike. It’s only been used for a year, so everything is working fine, but a brake bleed may be asked for as well as a fork service to make it feel like new (it works great but a service would make it feel extra plush). There’s a minor ding on the down tube and a superficial scratch on the seatpost which hasn’t affected it in any way. It truly is a bike for becoming a better mtber and handles most things you throw at it. If you have any questions just dm me.
