2014 Easton Haven 29" wheel set. Brand New, never mounted on a bike. Came with my new Transition Covert, but already have another wheel set. MSRP is $1000. Get them here much cheaper. $750 plus shipping Stout and light. With 29in wheels spinning at full speed, we're enjoying the plentiful options that are now available. In fact, less than five years ago, 29in UST wheels and tires weren't an option. So, in order to enjoy the benefits of riding tubeless, riders were forced to deal with sketchy rim/tape/tire combos that were a hassle to seat, and could blow off of the rim with no for warning. Thankfully, innovators like Easton have stepped up the game and offer UST compatible wheels like the Haven 29in Wheel. After subjecting the Haven 29er to the costly and rigorous testing procedures necessary to gain the UST label, the rims are now compatible with UST tires up to 2.5in wide. The rims are 26mm wide outside and 21mm wide inside in order to offer excellent shape and trail smoothing volume. Creating a UST approved rim is difficult, but Easton found a great way to get around the task by eliminating the spoke penetrations in the outer wall of the rim. The straight-pull DT double-butted spokes are placed in the hub in a standard three-cross patternl, but the nipple features a fresh design for the specific rim. It's both internally and externally threaded. So, when the spokes are drawn into the nipple, it's simultaneously screwing into a threaded eyelet inside the inner wall of the rim. They can be trued exactly like a wheel with standard nipples, only the included valve stems pierce the entire cross-section of the rim. The rims and spokes spin around sealed cartridge bearings and have adjustments for the bearing preload in order to keep them running smooth. The front hub is available as 15x100 and 20x110mm thru-axle, and the rear hub is available as either a 10x135 QR or 12x135/142mm axle type. Please note that the wheels come with ISO standard 6-bolt mounts for the brake rotors. This is a 59 cm 2003 Fondriest 16.50 XStatus bike. It is in excellent condition. New this bike retailed for $3300. It has a steel frame. The groupo is full Shimano Dura-Ace.
