Glad you were able to demo one! Building a silent bike was a huge priority when designing the AC1 so I'm glad it was so obvious!

Randoms From Bellingham's Northwest Tune-Up
Great question. We have been hard at work setting up our new production facility and are finally running production full time. The production capacity of our new facility addresses the issues we had with long lead times. While we are moving a lot quicker and are working to streamline our manufacturing of custom geometry frames; we are currently overhauling the ordering process to focus on standardized builds and sizes that will be in stock before ordering. Customers still looking for a personalized build with tailored geometry will still have that option, with additional cost and a longer lead time.

Bike Check: Ollie Lowthorpe's Archibald Cycles AC1
Hi Max, First, I want to sincerely apologize for the delays and frustration you've experienced with your order. We appreciate your patience and understand that our communication has not met the standard you or any customer should expect from us. To give you a clearer picture, production has indeed faced several challenges that affected your frame timeline. Initially, we had planned to work with a trusted laser supplier who unfortunately canceled our order last-minute, which led to sourcing both a new supplier and the material ourselves. After a second laser shop faced difficulties, we finally partnered with a reliable third shop who successfully completed the laser cutting. Just as we got over that hurdle, our production facility was unexpectedly sold, which required us to move our entire setup immediately. We are now fully operational in a new, stable space that offers more capacity, which should prevent these kinds of disruptions in the future. Currently, your frame is at the very front of the line, and we’ve started welding this week. We’re working around the clock to complete orders as quickly as possible. On our end, communication should have been handled much better. We recognize that we let you down by not providing regular updates and by failing to reach out unprompted. During a busy period, we missed key opportunities to keep you informed. We’re implementing a biweekly update system for all customers so that this doesn't happen again, and in future production runs, we’re transitioning away from a made-to-order model to minimize unpredictable delays. If you're open to it, we’d love to welcome you to our new shop so you can see production firsthand. We’re committed to transparency and will do everything we can to make this right. We’re grateful that you saw potential in our bikes, and we’re working to ensure the finished product meets those high expectations. Thank you again for your patience, and please feel free to reach out directly if there’s anything more we can do. Sincerely, Alex Archibald Cycles
