Trek's Fox Float Thru Shaft Shock - Review
I did a similar thing and went for the RS Super Deluxe since at the time the X2 wasn't yet available. Best damn thing I ever did to that bike!

Trek's Fox Float Thru Shaft Shock - Review
I've not been a huge fan of the Re:Active shocks either. My first '15 Remedy just never seemed to be tuneable in the rear end for all around riding. You either adjusted pressure for big hits or took some out for more relaxed riding. I sold it thinking I would never go back, but then I rode the 2017 Remedy and they fixed those problems. In addition, there are a few upgrade options in that shock size which sealed the deal. Still not many options, but at least there's something other than a mediocre stock shock for $550 from the LBS.

Trek's Fox Float Thru Shaft Shock - Review
I could never get my '15 Remedy rear shock dialed in. It either blew through the travel or bottomed out on big hits. A couple years later I test rode the 2017 and they seem to have fixed the problem, whatever it was. But your issue sounds like it needs a rebuild or replacement. There should be no sag at 350psi! http://suspension.trekbikes.com/us/en/#calculator

Trek's Fox Float Thru Shaft Shock - Review
I've got a 2017 Remedy with an upgraded Super Deluxe shock. I only have 2 other choices right now, so why are they making it worse? Keeping it proprietary is going to further limit options. By the time thru-shaft hits mainstream (if ever), they'll probably change the stroke or length too. So basically that means you're stuck with one shock option.

Fox Wants to Upgrade Your Float 34 Fork With Its New Air-Spring Kit
A couple years too late and $99 short! The 2014 model that came stock on my Remedy got about 10 rides on it before it started clunking and diving. Replaced it with a Pike RCT3 and not a hiccup since. The old F34 was rebuilt under warranty by Fox, but with the same old faulty internals.
