Connor Fearon Wins Regional Enduro Race on a Hardtail
if photo is representative of the track in general, seem like a hardtail could actually be an advantage in the right hands.

@nikifor88: because they can and they don't care. maybe they'll reverse course, but they'll take the publicity either way.

@nikifor88: when did i say that? how do you know it's not working well for them? i'd have to agree they're using mountain biking to sell their product to a much wider audience. you think mercedes cares that mountain bikers don't buy sedans? red bull did $7billion in revenue last year. that's 14x specialized...

MRP Ribbon Coil Fork, 29, 160mm, 51mm offset, boost

$550 USD
MRP Ribbon Coil, 29, 160mm, 51mm offset, boost hub spacing. Medium spring installed and will ship with soft spring as well. Fork was just bled with new wipers/seals. Rough steerer length is 8-1/4" and will ship with star nut installed. 150mi on this fork. Retails for over $1000 with the extra spring. One note is that I did take a slide on a rock roll and scratched the stanchion. It's cosmetic, but noticeable. I've decided to go to back to air. This is a fork everyone loves and is typically in short supply. Jenson's take: The Ribbon Coil offers the spring tunability and stroke control that could only previously be found with an air fork. Not only does the Ribbon Coil give you added spring tunability, it also gives you the supple linear spring curve, lower friction and longer service life and consistent feel that you get with a coil spring. The Ribbon Coil is offered in several travel lengths but can be adjusted within those ranges to suit your trail needs and comes with soft, medium and firm springs depending on what type of riding you plan on doing. Fine tuning of the spring rate is done through an external pre-load adjustment on the top of the left leg and with MRP's Ramp Control, you can dial in your preferred bottom-out support quickly and easily. FEATURES Spring suspension with air fork tunability MRP's Ramp Control for a bottomless feel Boost spacing with 35mm stanchions Three spring rates to customize feel SPECIFICATIONS WHEEL SIZE 27.5"+/29" TRAVEL 140mm, 150mm, 160mm LOCKOUT 8-position low-speed compression AXLE TYPE 15mm Thru-Axle STEER TUBE DIAMETER 1 1/8" to 1.5" Taper STANCHION DIAMETER 35mm STANCHION MATERIAL - LOWER MATERIAL - CROWN MATERIAL - AXLE TO CROWN LENGTH 572mm at 160mm Travel OFFSET 51mm EXTERNAL ADJUSTMENTS Preload, Low-Speed Compression, Ramp Control, Rebound INTERNAL ADJUSTMENTS Travel 140mm to 160mm SPRING Soft, Medium(installed), Firm DAMPER 20-Position BRAKE COMPATIBILITY Disc, 180mm Post Mount MAX ROTOR SIZE 203mm INTENDED USE Enduro, All-Mountain WEIGHT 4.65 lbs.

MRP Hazzard Coil, 230 x 60, 350lb spring

$450 USD
Almost brand new MRP Hazzard (150mi) with 350lb spring included. This retails for $685, with spring. I believe this is 230x60mm, it was originally on my GG Smash. The shock was just bled and running smooth as ever. One note is that the sticker came off, so it's super stealth now. I've decided I prefer air. That said, it's clear the shock is well made and adjustments available on the shock made a clear difference in ride qualities. Here's Jenson's take: Just like the famed Hazard section of Moab’s Whole Enchilada trail, the Hazard shock by MRP delivers grins from ear to ear. It delivers performance that remains consistent from top to bottom. A handy low-speed compression switch firms thing up so you can head back up for more. The Hazzard is the new go-to for riders who won’t compromise on performance or control. The Hazzard gives you all the benefits of coil-sprung suspension (supple action, lower friction, longer service life, and more consistency) and control over both high and low-speed compression damping, rebound, and spring preload. If that weren’t enough, the Hazzard features a convenient low-speed compression switch that firms up the shock immensely for sustained climbs and stage transfers - where saving energy is paramount. Plus, with MRP’s new Progressive Springs, you can use the Hazzard on bikes that previously required air shocks! FEATURES: Coil sprung suspension for supple action and lower friction. Coil springs sold separately Low speed compression switch for climbing efficiency. High and low compression adjustment Lets you dial in the perfect ride. SPECIFICATIONS DAMPING MRP SPRING Coil (sold separately) ADJUSTMENTS High and low speed compression, rebound, spring preload COATING Anodized INTENDED USE All-mountain, Enduro WEIGHT 867g (weight varies by size)
