Got a RockShox DOMAIN 2008/2009 with a Steel Steere Tube?
The purpose of any Rock Shox is to deliver a cheap fork, not top grade. Nothing lasts anymore. I rode a 99 Marzocchi Z1 from 99 to 2004 with absolutely no problems at all. Just changed oil and seals. I also had many other Marzocchis (Monster T, Super T, Z1, 66, 888, Z2Atom race, Marathon, etc etc). Oil changed every year, and seals every two. No other problems at all on any of them. Now, unfortunately, even Marzocchis are made like shit in Taiwan. They now suffer the same tolerance issues, blowing TST cartridges, breaking TAS crap, etc etc. There is currently nowhere to turn for good products. I have owned 5 fox forks over the years, and they completely wore out in less than a year. We need a new manufacturer to emerge and give us what Marzocchi used to give us. Reliability at the expense of a little more weight. Making a fork too light alows flex and wear. Period. It's a sad day in the bike industry when I don't want any of the current products.
