Up for sale is an XL 2018 Trek Boone Race Shop Limited with 105 hydraulic disc brakes and Trek Checkpoint SL5 wheelset. The front and rear isospeed decoupler is an amazing help to absorb the impact of bumps, potholes, rocks and roots. Very comfortable and responsive ride. I have 35mm schwalbe marathon plus tour tires on. Exceptional puncture resistant tires, as I’ve yet to get a flat. Can fit up to 40mm tires, probably even larger. Love the bike, but need the cash for vehicle repairs. Drivetrain could use a tune, but otherwise good to go! Price is firm.

It is time to say bye to my good buddy. Through our year together it has been reliable and has managed not to get mugged by any bike thieves out there. I’m heading to South Korea in one weeks time to teach english literature for a year. I’m not sure on the logistics of taking it over there, nor of their bike culture, so I’ll give it to a good home for someone else to enjoy. Honestly I love this bike. I mainly used the bike for commuting in Victoria, BC over the last year. The riding consisted mostly of paved roads with a short gravel ride each day. Here in Kamloops, BC I have had the pleasure of taking it on some single-track stuff and it holds up well. It’s a great feeling being able to crank yourself to the top of the hill to enjoy winding steep single-track down. I always had intentions of racing some cyclocross but it just never fit into my schedule. You can trust this bike. I have never ridden carbon frames or super light aero bikes, but with this bike I could chose my line and stick with it. Even if there was a car beside me. As for its condition, hopefully the pictures prove that it has been well taken care of. I plasti-dipped my car, so I decided to plasti-dip the bike too. Flat black. And it has worked well as a skin to keep the surface shiny and smooth. I haven’t had to replace any components and over the year I have learned how to do all the maintenance myself. I think it could shift and brake a little better with some new cables and a finer eye for adjustments and a slight wheel truing. But the components are tough and just need a little bit of maintenance now and then. A 50 dollar tune should give you a new bike for the summer. I will get new bar tape for it before I send it. Also included are the Shimano PD-A530 (one side clip, one side flat). They work great! Rode the flat side through summer, and the clips since then. I do have some accessories that can be added on if you are interested. The bike does NOT include mud guards, moved those over to my girlfriends bike. But, it could include the 28L roll-up Navy pannier pictures for $40 dollars. The Rear pannier rack for $20 dollars. And I have a set of Continental Ultra Gatorskins 700x28 that are in like new condition.
